Hotel needs a refresh. Old furniture and tiles

Excellent location in sultanahmet. Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque 5 minutes away. Topkapi Palace only 10 mins away. Plenty of restaurants outside the hotel and sultanahmet tram station 2 minutes away. Excellent views from the terrace of Hagia Sofia and the Blue mosque, looks great in the day and night. Breakfast is on the terrace. Breakfast could be better quality, but they had meats, cheeses, cereal, breads and fresh omelettes. Also juices, tea/coffee. Rooms were okay, definitely could do with a refresh as could the whole hotel, but it was clean enough, beds were comfy, and TVs had YouTube. Family room has a large double and two single beds. Overall was a decent hotel. Best things were the location and terrace. If you value the quality of the room I would recommend somewhere else, but for me it did the job.

Lift not working. Stairs were steep. Bathroom was dated and needed an upgrade.

Great location. Lovely breakfast terrace with view. Reception area full of boxes which didn't feel like a space where guests could sit and relax. Staff helpful when I left my headphones on checkout, They held them until someone could pick them up for me. Thank you to Selchuk for doing this for me. His customer service and communication is excellent.

It was a bit noisy as there is no door to the breakfast area on the top floor. We were one floor below so it was quite noisy from about 5 or 6am when the staff started with breakfast. But for two nights it was fine, so it's just a minor thing.

The location was amazing and the staff were so friendly. The rooms were modest but clean, we didn't go to Istanbul to spend time in a room!

The entrance approach was under whelming particularly with suitcases . Clearer sign post at eyelevel from road would have helped. No natural light to rooms at 1st floor with windows frosted over

The location was fantastic and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof was a great start to the day.

Rooms are compact, but that’s a compromise worth making for the stunning view, central location and extremely good value for money.

Great little hotel, comfortable rooms, quiet despite being in the heart of the old city, right next to Sultanahmet tram stop. Stunning view from rooftop cafe - at breakfast, throughout the day and especially in the evening at prayer call time. Just amazing - worth the cost of the room alone. Good mix of fare for breakfast buffet + freshly cooked omelette. SAKIR was a star - so helpful, kind and diligent. Definitely recommend it.

Window is facing a narrow alley, so there is not much of a view, but this was not a major issue. Would stay at this property again!

Located in Sultanahmet - Istanbul`s Old town. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby. Major sights of Istanbul are just a short walk away. Amazing view over Istanbul from the terrace. Good breakfast. Free coffee and cookies served in the afternoon. Good value for money.

Walls are very thin and there was a large group of people in the room next to ours that kept us up all night every night. Not the property’s fault but nevertheless ruined our experience.

Great location, with a gorgeous rooftop terrace to enjoy breakfast from. Friendly staff and great communication from the property from booking to stay.

Being surrounded by pubs restaurants some nights there were loud music untill midnigth earable from the 5th floor.

Hotel located in a strategic point, close to main attractions of the city, breakfast 10/10 fresh food different options every day and omelette on the spot and located at 5th floor where you can have an amazing view of the city, staff super friendly , very good as well the shuttle service to/from airport at reasonable price (10euro difference from regular taxi, but without struggles :) )

I would like to have a different meal for breakfast

The hotel is located right across the street from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. There is a tram stop nearby, everything is within walking distance. Inside, the condition is a little tired, and there is no view from the windows, but in order to spend 1-3 nights it will do. The main decoration of the hotel is the terrace where you have breakfast, it offers a great view.

Access for drop off/pickup transport. Single lane, 2 way, dead end street not fault of property though. Allow extra time when getting picked up for airport.

Location. Amazing. Blue Mosque a few hundred metres away. Viewable from breakfast terrace. Plenty of restaurants metres away

    3 Night Stay in Istanbul

The photos here do not show the current state of the room - peeling walls and basin, shower rainfall was about to fall off - all in all the room needs refurbishment. Mattress and pillows could be more comfortable, but don't let this put you off. The heater worked just fine, always managed to wash nonetheless and the location is perfect to walk around the city / catch a tram.

Location was perfect, a stone's throw away from two main mosques - you will hear the prayers and people from the street but it wasn't really an issue (not that loud). You will, however, be pestered to look at menus with every step you make to reach the hotel. Breakfast was OK, just as shown in the photos. There is free coffee and cake on the terrace at 4PM - never managed to get tea in the afternoon even when we went early. The view from the terrace is astonishing - it was what encouraged me to book and it was worth it. Also, because the elevator is small, they sent a porter with the luggage after check-in which was nice. The bed was OK, and size of room also good for 2 adults.

The only downside for me is the size of the room, but this must be the characteristic of the area. The room for 3 people had limited counter and storage space for 3 people to be comfortable, but we were ready for it and didn't mind as other advantages of the hotel overweighed.

I stayed at Lapis Inn with my parents for the second time - the location is unbeatable, so is the magnificent terrace that is accessible at all time and is a great bonus to the stay. The hotel team are all very kind, attentive and responsive so one can always reach out to them for anything. The rooms have everything one needs during their stay., and while it is a very busy area, the rooms are high enough to be very quiet.

The room needed some renovation/painting and noise insulation improvement. The shower did not have a closing door so the water wet the bathroom floor.

The location right in Sulanahmett: 5min walking from Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The staff was really friendly and professional. The view from the rooftop was amazing. The room was clean and spacious and bed was comfortable.
