Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesSome things did not work, e.g., the streaming TV and HVAC (manually on/off as heat or on/off as AC, controllable from front desk and room’s on/off switch, but not controllable from a set desired temperature at room’s thermostat). Also found services bought through the hotel to be seriously wanting, e.g., airport pickup and private car with driver for self-directed tour.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, unless you are driving as it is a pedestrian area. It is in the city center, so steps from the Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The grand bazaar and the spice market are also easily reachable by walking. There was even a lovely park or 3 where you can get ice cream, Egyptian corn, pretzels or kebaps. My son also really enjoyed the breakfast in their panoramic restaurant. For the staff and location I would rate it 10/10

The location is fantastic. Very close to Hagia Sophia. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We lost one of our luggage at the airport and they liased with the airport staff to find and send it back to us at the hotel. Istanbul hospitality at its best.

ItalySuper excellent location, less than 3 minutes walk from Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern. View from the room of Hagia Sophia was super amazing - we took the twin room on the 4th floor. Staff were really friendly and helpful - shoutout to the team for the excellent service! Breakfast provided was a standard Turkish breakfast buffet, but the views from the restaurant was brilliant. Loved the entire experience, highly recommended!

United StatesIt’s quite an older building so the noise from the above floors are pretty constant. It was a bit difficult with sleeping bc I’m a light sleeper. The staff moved me into another room after the first night, and it was better. But if you’re a light sleeper and you can’t wear earplugs, you might want to keep that in mind. Breakfast is average. The restaurant has good food but is overpriced. But that shouldn’t deter from booking bc there are tons of really amazing restaurants within 10 minutes walk of the hotel and fairly priced.
Top qualities why to book: 1. The staff are extremely friendly, and helpful 2. The location is amazing!! Literally in the middle of so many historical sites that Istanbul is known for. You can walk just about anywhere. The tram is nearby if you want to go out further but I didn’t use it bc I just walked everywhere. 3. The cleanliness was big for me and it really was wonderful. Their beds are comfortable as well.

SpainThe location is absolutely exceptional. Best place possible in Istanbul. Our room with terrace was right in front of Agia Sofia and really close to the Blue Mosque. The views are simply breathtaking. Best views I have ever enjoyed in a hotel. The breakfast outside, in front of the mosque was simply delicious. Murat and the rest of the staff gave us superb attention. A precious place to go back whenever visiting that precious jewel: Istanbul.
