The location is very good, you can walk to the main touristic attractions, also ferry stations of karakoy and eminonu are walking distance. Very good breakfast with amazing view of the Galata Bridge, Suleymaniye and Agia Sophia.

The air conditioner was noisy, maybe it's too old. And windows are not sound proof, noise from surroundings is a bit annoying if you are sensitive to sound at night.

The location was good where it's easy to walk or take the tram to places of interest. And the view from the top floor is nice when having breakfast.

Ther is no swimming pool, sauna or gym. Perhaps it cannot be expected from a 4-start hotel.

The hotel is located between a metro station and an electrical bus station with easy, fast and cheap access to the main historical places of Istanbul. We had a standard room with the river view so that we could enjoy the river view each morning and evening with beautiful sound and flight of the birds. Personnel of the hotel are kind, attentive and polite. I do recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a 4-star hotel in Istanbul.

The rooms and corridors are quite small, and that may be the only downside to this place.

The staff was very nice and the location of the hotel is quite good. The complimentary breakfast is also very good. The room heating worked well. The manager also helped me book a taxi to the airport at a reasonable price. Overall, it was a good experience.

The rooms are a little tired and cramp but are perfectly adequate for a stay in Istanbul. They are very clean and tidy and serviced daily by nice friendly staff.

Istanbul Golden City is situated well for all the sights nearby and easily accessible to public transport. The staff were very good and helpful when necessary. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and tasty and good value for money. We would definitely stay again.

Only the strange loud buzzing noise caused, as described, by the unprecedented storm which raged for 24 hours! Outside the hotel's control, but they were immediately helpful.

Great location close to Galata bridge, comfortable rooms, friendly, proactive and communicative staff - thanks in particular to Ali. And when, due to an unprecedented storm, the wind was making an extremely loud and unusual noise outside my window, a change of room was immediately arranged with no questions asked. Thanks!

The elevator was small

It was good experience, The location of the hotel is good, close to the landmarks of Istanbul. The view from the rooms is wonderful. The breakfast terrace has an amazing view. I thank the supervisor Seval, who is welcoming and kind. I also thank Ece who is very welcoming and supportive. She worked with us with great pleasure.

It's only minor things that we encountered during the trip, yet definitely nothing deal-breaking. The rubber coating of our room's window was a bit old, thus not sealing it completely. As our room was relatively close to a very busy street, it was a bit louder, yet the noise was very acceptable (even in the night). Unfortunately, the air conditioning switched off, when leaving the room and removing the keycard from it's mount. Hence the room was often quite hot when we came back in the evening and we had to let it run for some hours to cool down the room. Having an option to keep the A.C. switched on during the day would have been great.

Been there for 6 nights with a friend. Great location, very short walking distances to the Metro/Bus system. Room was clean and tidy, service came every day. Breakfast (we chose this as an extra) was fantastic! Amazing view in the breakfast room and great variety and taste of the food. Very helpful and nice staff (including service personal and especially the technician!!!), that helped us out multiple times. Can really recommend this hotel :)

Timely toilet supplies, complimentary water bottles not provided unless reminded. Towels have lost their softness, need to be replaced altogether. Elevator is small but enough for the guests

Toilet room supplies were not timely. Towels need to be replaced altogether. They're quite old and lost the necessary softness. We'd to remind about water bottles, twice during our 4 nights stay
