How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our twin room was tiny, there wasn't enough room to pass between the bed and the wall! We never complained as we realised at the end of our stay - I wish we did!
The location is just perfect. Nice and varied breakfast with great views of Hacia Sophia and Blue mosque. Staff is super nice and helpful.

Not good breakfast, not as clean as it could be, the facilities (pool etc) not very good. Also the road in front the hotel was always closed by cars and was not able to reach the main entrance by car.

The breakfast was disappointing. There wasn’t a lot of selection and what we tried tasted bad. The lady from the spa reception seemed bored and we didn‘t feel welcomed. Not an energy we expect at a place where we go to recharge. There were some things that could be organized better. I had to wait too long for the check-in, there was an upset energy in the lobby from all the people waiting. Also the organization of the transfer could be better. The possibility to pay by card for example. Small things - not too bad, but when they sum up, your mood goes down.
The location was great, everything was clean & the staff was most of the time very friendly and little problems were solved fast. The dinner I ate at the restaurant tasted great. The two ladies who gave us the spa treatment were super kind and worried about our wellbeing. They gave us an amazing experience. Also the cleaning lady was the kindest soul.

Breakfast could be improved. Especially coffee/tea/juice facilities.
Location is just perfect if you want to visit the touristic high lights of the city. Conveniently 5 minute walk from Haga Sophia. Staff is very friendly and offered coffee, tea or water on several occasions. Beds are comfortable and bathroom was ok, bit on the small side.

Spa and pool facilities were basic and had some construction work being done to them.
The staff were extremely helpful and went out their way to help. Especially Ridvan he looked after us during the stay, provided an amazing service, gave us great advice on local places for food and where to travel, any issues he would be straight on it. A valuable member of the Great Fortune Team. The hotel provides everything you need and location is unbeatable.

It was a bit quite noisy in the evening. Although I had contacted the hotel in advance and thought it was sorted, my airport pick-up didn't materialize. I arrived not to a prearranged pick up, but a message asking if I needed to be picked up the following day.
Great location close to the sights with restaurants and the tram all right there.

Hotel is difficult to find by taxi. Taxi leave you in other place of street, But actually staff of hotel is very well made so they come to help you by walk. Breakfast was one of worst in Istanbul:) Unfortunatelly i have to say that. Spa was also very bad - i didnt like. But all hotels spa in old city is ussualy like this - bad water and not much clean. So i believe Its not only here. Bed was very small and inside room was very hott so we didnt sleep well. And our room was one of bigger ones.
Location is perfect. Very near to grand bazar. Staff was amazing. Guy on reception was extremly helpfull and nice person. They really try to help with everything.

Very small rooms, on pictures are totally different view. The place is overpriced. For sure I will not come again on this place.
