Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi ArabiaAir conditioning was a little bit hot. I tried two different rooms and it was the same experience. 23 to 25 degree is not that good. I couldn’t sleep well.
A receptionist named Buse, she’s very kind and helpful. Tried her best to serve us. She’s a good English speaker. Wish her all the best

Germanythe elevator sytem and the orientation at the floors to find your room is bad, there should be better signs. More personell should be able to speak english (but they are friely and helpfull). Charging hotel clients using the pool is a "no go" (better charge the room with 5 Euros more, gives a better feeling to the guests and a better fix calculation for the hotel too)
near to airport, near to Marmaray Metro Station, nice and quiet room, very comfortable bed, all installations worked well. Supermarket is near. Seaside park and promenade for sunset walk is near. Also the "Monica"-Restaurant at the sea with tasty food if someone does not want to eat at the hotel. Brilliant gym.

United StatesRoom was cleaned once in 4 days. Elevators always malfunctioning. Had to pay about $15 per day per person to use outside pool. Waiters in terrace bar not too friendly.
Close to waterfront park and pedestrian esplanade and metro station. King size bed was fantastic and very comfy.

AustraliaThey try to convince you to take an airport shuttle to & from the airport for 35 euro but if you use the Uber app you can book your own for 120 Turkish lira, so it’s a scam & total rip off. Also the main pool has a charge to use as it’s not actually a part of the property, so that was disappointing. The breakfast was ok but definitely not the best food selections that I have ever seen in a resort before.
Comfortable bed & clean, decent breakfast & not too far from the airport.

AustraliaSmoking is unofficially tolerated in rooms (ashtrays are supplied) so there is a faint odour noticeable if you are a non smoker. The shower over bathtub is elevated by a tiled step, so take care if mobility and balance are concerns for you.
Location is close to Pendik car ferry terminal, so this is a convenient option when travelling onward by car to Yaliva , Bursa, Izmir, etc, and onward down the west coast.

United KingdomMy issue was the television in the room was not working, no water of tea etc on arrival but that all got sorted at some point. What was highly annoying was that I went to take a shower before bed and there was water when I started, midway through my shower it stopped working. And also when I tried to brush my teeth after struggling to rinse off with no water,, again nothing was coming out.
The hotel was nice and the staff was pleasant, the one's that could understand. Breakfast was nice, very big varieties. That we fully enjoyed. 15-20mins walk into town where there are loads of places to dinner and a market right next door on the weekend

Turkey- Heating/Cooling system inside the room depending on the Hotels central systems mode. We have been told that the hotel's main system is still in winter mode so we can not efficiently operate the a/c. The bottom line is the room temperature reached 28 C degrees and could not be cooled down. The hotel said they were sorry but had nothing to do about this problem. - The restaurant inside the hotel can not or does not charge the dinner to your room. You have to pay it in place. It is weird. - Almost entire displays inside the elevators are not working. You have never sure which floor you are on when the elevator in move or stops.
- Free parking facilities for the customer's car. - Away from tourist attractions, but if you are traveling for work in the Anatolian part of Istanbul, the hotel has a very convenient location and is relatively close to SAW airport.

United KingdomNot always great with Housekeeping, having to ask for more coffee or water etc although once we asked they were quick to oblige. The “Gourmet Restaurant” is misnamed as its an open buffet style of ordinary foods. on entering the restaurant area we were greeted by “ you need to pay, money wanted!” by a staff member with little English. Not impressed! Use the Bistro, it’s comfortable and has a decent menu although not quick to serve food. sandwiches were, I think, from frozen bread rolls defrosted in a microwave and were partly hard and dry as a result. Otherwise a good place to eat and meet.
fabulous bed! the biggest we’ve ever slept in and supremely comfortable. A big hotel with very large lobby means meeting people there is simple for small meetings. Bistro was good, not great but good enough with prices reasonable for a hotel.
