How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Absolutely nothing.
Clean, tidy and organized. Very central location close to everything you need. Whether leisure or business trip, this is the hotel you need. Internet was great, facilities great, staff were all outstanding. That’s my second Stay there. Breakfast was ok like everywhere else but eatery in Istanbul is everywhere.

I believe the mattress needs to be more comfortable
Staff are friendly and ready to support at any time. Staff in breakfast are kind and always ensuring to enjoy your breakfast. Location near to Metro station, it's 2 min walking

1] The breakfast is quite low level. Coffy from chip machines and croissants not really good. you just go aoutside and quality is much much better 2] i booked a taxi for the airport when leaving and i didnt arrived. I had to get upset to have a taxi from the normal taxi parking few streets aside

I like the hotel location....The breakfast is nice

The stuff not smiley only one man was very nice face. The others if you ask them for some things you will pay for it they might ignore you because they thinks that's you want it for free. They are not bad but they need more training the last suff smile when agave him the pit since leaving to airport. Hhhhh..

I had a wonderful experience at the Oran Hotel. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing especially ( Sinan & Eyyüp) Thank you. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul.

Very nice hotel with a superb location. So clean and tidy, the rooms are quite decent too. Perfect hotel if you prefer using public transportation, plus the staff are very kind and cooperative, especially Fikret.

Staff should be more helpful to facilitate guests’ stay… ( I asked to extend my check out by 1 to 2 hours as my airplane was at night, however, I was requested to pay $100 which never happened to me before even in 5 star hotels…)
The proximity to all monuments and shops. The cleanness of the room is really impressive and the quality of the equipments is decent! Breakfast is okay with a wide variety of food…

This is not our first time visiting Istanbul, we come for work and We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, we are thinking of booking it again, so I recommend it. the staff were great and helped with everything. The location is just great near the metro and tram, very close to the sightseeing and shopping area.

Very good service from Sahin, Abduliah and Golcmen. We were given a free breakfast because we arrived way to early to check in.

We had reserved a triple full bed for 3 person, however they provided us a room with 2 bed and a sofa bed.
The location was very close to the metro and tramway. The staff were quite helpful and respected. The room was so comfortable, and we had a daily charge for cleaning,water, coffee and bath.

The location was in the heart of Istanbul. You have everything literally. The hotel is very clean, housekeeping was excellent and so were the guys at reception. Room sizes are ok by Istanbul standards. Breakfast was varied enough.

We choice this hotel specifically because it has an in house gym, but when we got there we were told that it was not available. It was quite disappointing for us.
Very friendly staff and received a lot of information about Istanbul at the reception. Staff are ready to help at all time. Hotel very close to a lot of attractions and shopping area,
