Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaIt was dirty. The floor, the table, the refrigerator, the bathroom looked like they were not cleaned in a long time. Even the towels were with stains. It is also very loud at night in the neighbourhood.
The location is perfect, 5 mins from Taksim metro station. The stuff is really friendly and ready to help.

RussiaThere are terrible conditions of the room. Photos on their page looks foolish. In reality there's no cleaning at all: rubbish, hair on bed, dirty curtains. It's one of the most uncomfortable rest ever. Furniture is extremely cheap, the fridge vibration were so high, that makes me hard to sleep. In midnight there were a lot of noise belind my door, for maybe 30 minutes. Hopefully I stayed there only for one night.
Apartments are spotted in a really good place, next to many places of interest.

SerbiaWhen we booked the accommodation, the address was Fevzi Cakmak Caddesi 39. In the end, it was a completely different address. 1300 sokak number 10 on the corner with 1301 sokak. The entrance courtyard is dirty and unkempt with one dirty table and benches. On the ground floor there was a pile of furniture that had been thrown out of the building in a rather messy condition. In ten days, no one cleaned and arranged that yard. We were on the first floor. When we arrived, the accommodation was not yet ready, so we waited for 1.5 hours. The light did not work in the kitchen as well as in the first part of the bathroom. The light did not work in one room, and one light in the living room, too. After our complaints, no one did anything for 10 days. The windows throughout the accommodation were dirty and it was obvious that they had not been washed for a very long time. One room did not have blinds on the windows, but there was a street light in front of the window, so you could read in the room at night. The windows in that room could not be opened at all for ventilation. The whole apartment has bare floors, there is not a single rug. The table in the kitchen was 40 cm wide and almost unusable. In the photos on the website, only the best parts are shown, but the other bad parts of the apartment are not visible. Namely, the apartment is semi-finished. In one room, there were some parts of unfinished shelves and seats that were hidden by a white cloth. Likewise, some unfinished closet in the kitchen. The thermal and sound insulation is very bad, so at night there was noise and it was constantly hot, so the air conditioner had to work almost 15-16 hours a day. The bathroom is narrow and long. The flow water heater for the shower worked for a while and for a while it didn't. Sometimes it was necessary to wait 10 minutes for the hot water to start. There was no hot water in the kitchen. The kitchen is unfinished or the hanging parts have been removed. (No more space)
The lady who brought us and the maid were very kind.

IsraelThis place is a dump, run down. It doesn't even have a lobby - the sort of lobby is the next door where you check in, then to get to your room you go next door, trying to open an old lock with a key to get into a dark room, from there taking spiral stairs with not always working lights, you get to your room and it is very small (only bed fits) and low ceiling, everything seems to be broken or about to break. Staff doesn't speak English. I didn't want to stay there but unfortunately I paid with a bank card and they told me to wait until they process the cancellation (still waiting), better pay through booking or even better choose another place.
Staff helped to bring up my suitcase to the room.

PakistanEven though we got the best room they had, it still needed a lot of attention and detailing. As most of the seats had white leather, dirt was quite visible and it seemed to have never been thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom was quite horrible and most of the parts were rusted and corroded. The size of the bathroom was also very small compared to the size of the room.
The receptionist helped us get a better room on the ground floor compared to the one we got assigned on the second floor. He understood that I was travelling with my father and since he was a senior citizen, he switched our room with no additional charge.

Saudi ArabiaJust be careful with your steps ( stairs and going down to location of hotel)
1. The location is very near to Taksim Square surrounded by mini-groceries, restaurants, bank, mobile shops and transportation like taxi and metro. 2. Yassin and Erhan - very helpful from check in and check out. I kept one luggage for few days and they know how to take care of guest. 3. Quiet area even its near to Taksim Square. 4. Comfortable bed. soft pillows. 5. Kitchenette is available with some plate, bowl, tea/coffee cups. 6. Clean and this property is good for few days stay, budget wise and highly recommended.
