Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe were a little disappointed with our meal in the rooftop restaurant, expensive for the quality and presentation. Wine list also expensive in comparison to local restaurants.
Lovely boutique Hotel, traditional theme kept through out with modern facilities. Walking distance to many historical sites, one minute to lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Ideal for the weekend break we had booked. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. We were offered help in booking attractions which we didn’t accept, this was accepted by reception staff who didn’t try to push their service.

United KingdomWhile breakfast was great, dinner was disappointing. While very tasty, some of the food was obviously pre cooked and reheated, meaning it was lukewarm and not the best texture. The terrace is basically an enclosed restaurant with a small open air area (big enough for 4 people). Hugely expensive for what it was.
Beautiful little boutique hotel tucked away near a vibrant street with bars and restaurants. Very comfortable bed, great shower and nicely appointed room. The staff were great. Fantastic breakfast. The view of the Bosphorus was lovely. Excellent location.

RomaniaThe rooms are quite small and dark, however they are very clean and you find all necessary amenities. The pillows are a bit unconfortable being to firm.
If you would like to stay in the European side close to the main attraction, the location is great. The staff is very friendly, open to solve any issues and to provide assistance.

United KingdomVery small and claustrophobic room with a view of the pipes. Could not unpack all our clothes as nowhere to put them
The position of the hotel is central to all the major attractions. We loved the roof top restaurant with the view of the Bosphorus and the really good breakfast loads of variety and a choice of cooked eggs. The staff are so friendly and helpful cannot do enough for you. Good communication with the staff on the front desk

Location was an easy walk to the big sites, tram, and ferry. Also, hotel is not on a busy street but on a side street, so much less noise than other hotels in this area. The room was great, very comfortable and clean, and staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. A gem in the old city part of Istanbul.

ItalyOur stay at Hotel Tria has been excellent. The location is perfect -in a nice little street in walking distance from Topkapi, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The hotel is small but very nice and the breakfast is served in a panoramic top roof terrace that offers a superb sight on the Bosphorus. The room was well equipped, the design is very nice. A good rest is assured by the silence and the comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent and abundant and allowed us to discover excellent typical local preparations. We tried the dinner and that was excellent too. The staff was very careful and assisted us in all ways, in particular with transfers from/to the airport and reservation for guided tours.

United KingdomReally hard to find fault with anything.
Wonderful location which meant we could walk to many of the sights that we wanted to see. Staff were super helpful. Arranged a guide for us for a day which I would highly recommend. Also booked taxi both to and from the airport. The restaurant on the roof has terrific views. Rooms are comfortable and the hotel has clearly been recently refurbished. I chose the Tria because of its location and the excellent reviews that they had. Both proved to be great assets.

SerbiaBed mattress needs to be replaced (at least in my room). Room is little bit dark as windows look at other building wall that is only 2 meters away from the window. If you need to work in the room it is not good experience.
Location is great. Breakfast is good. Hotel staff are great and polite. Room is clean. Transfer to the airport is well organized.
