The only bad thing was the refrigerator did not keep anything cold so we could not use it.

Our room was very clean. Parking area was nice and neat, no clutter or trash. Staff was very nice and friendly. The facility was in a very quiet area, all you could hear was traffic, which was not bad at all. We would definitely stay here again.

I think the bath should have a safety bar to assist when getting in and out of the tub. The room was supplied with 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 face cloths. I felt the room should have had 4 of each. While the owners were happy to supply extra towels when I asked, I did not like bothering the staff. The photos of the outside of the property on the website do not reflect what the Inn looks like. I do understand the Inn was heavily damaged from recent hurricanes8.

Room, bedding, and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. American Inn is located halfway between the airport and family I was visiting. The owners were thoughtful and very nice.

The toilet in the bathroom was too low , hard to use, the toilet was too close to the ground, very uncomfortable, hard to get on or off.

Very good job updating after the hurricane devastated the place. Some rooms not finished but the owner has his guys working hard every day to make it nice. And he’s doing the construction right even with no insurance for hurricane damage.

We drove into the lot and it was all dark inside window. We rang a doorbell and waited for someone to answer. We had booked this online and had never done our check in outside a window. A nice woman came and answered the bell. She took my credit card and license for check in. ( I would have left if we hadn't already been charged for the room, no cancelation). She was out of view and I couldn't see anything in side the window. Remember she had my credit card and license. She heard me expressing my concern and said " I am here, do not worry". Soon she came back with my cards and receipt to sign. The exterior was pretty unkempt, needed paint, part of roof on one end was gone (Hurricane damage). It was a really scary till we went into room which was actually very nice. It was kind of noisy along a busy road. We were trying to get a "bargin". Not a very good night sleep.

The room was totally updated and very clean. This was a big surprise considering the exterior of the facility.

Noisy air conditioner kept us awake at night. Room was very near the highway and the traffic was loud. The room was very basic and sparse. The upholstery on the chair was dirty

Location was great. As others have said, looks old and unkept from the outside, like a cheap motel. But, the interior of the room was just fine. Beds were very comfortable. Our only complaint was the towels; they were quite flimsy! The price was one of the better deals we saw although in looking back, there were no amenities to speak of. You get what you pay for. We only needed a clean and comfy bed and a clean bathroom. That’s what we got.
