The breakfast was just okay. Nothing to write home about.

The room was comfortable and it was very, very close to the downtown Ashland area. There's also a pool and a hot tub.

How close it was to the main road (noisy), room itself not very noise-proof (sound of cars from parking lot, other people coming back from shows around midnight getting to the rooms above), breakfast was heavy on beige foods - not a single piece of fruit, lots of disposable utensils etc. No fan inside the bathroom so it got fogged up really quickly. Couldn't figure out the TV (not a bad thing actually)

Great location to quickly get to the main drag, services, entertainment, safe, easy to navigate. Super nice breakfast room overlooking the city & with a view to the mountains.

The Bard's Inn is one of the best options in Ashland -- especially for pet owners!

The bed did not have a fitted sheet, so the sheets fall off a bit. Bring your own pillow! So glad we did. In short, the bed was comfortable enough, but the comforter and bedsheet were incredibly light-weight and not the best quality. Good thing the heater in the room worked really well! The breakfasts were powdered eggs, hard-boiled eggs, rubbery sausage, make-it-yourself pancakes, packaged danishes, and mini-muffins -- not the best tasting food, and not high-end, but did the trick for a free breakfast with decent coffee to tide us over in the early morning before we went out for breakfast or brunch in town. The worst part was the low-flow shower, which had very little pressure -- mostly just a trickle -- but the bathroom was clean and comfortable.

The location is perfect for those interested in attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival -- just a short walk away. We thought the place and room were fairly quiet, and we were in the pet-friendly building, too! Speaking of which, this place is very accommodating to dogs, which made our trip so much easier -- with no extra pet fees. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and we liked that we could grab a bite and coffee each morning in the breakfast room. The pet-friendly rooms are a decent size with comfortable furniture for seating two people and a fairly comfortable bed. The heater/A.C. worked well.

The sink got clogged after I used it the first time to brush my teeth; the water sat in the bowl for over two hours before fully draining. It clogged again when I washed my hands and brushed my teeth the next morning. The bed was a bit lumpy and only had a bed cover - no flat sheet between the mattress sheet and the blanket.

The room was a good size and well-heated. The bathroom was clean and bright. I also liked the location and overall look of the motel; very PNW and "cabin-y." I drove south which took me past several coffee shops, including Starbucks, and gas stations, before I got onto the freeway driving south.

The battery in the smoke alarm in our room was dying when we arrived. The young man at the front desk was very polite but he was alone so when I called he asked to put me on hold but after a while I just hung up and walked down there. Again, since he was alone, he wasn’t keen to replace the batteries himself but said if we have trouble with it, to call. He gave me double A batteries which I thought strange since smoke alarms usually take a 9 volt but I took them thinking maybe these smoke alarms were different. Of course, the smoke alarm did, indeed, need a 9-volt battery so I had to go back down and then he didn’t really know what a 9-volt battery looked like and when I described it, he managed to find one squirreled away in a drawer but it was out of the package and he worried it was spent. So he went to some other office to look and couldn’t find more. I used the one he found and it was fine. The front office could stand to be a bit more organized for the staff and this very nice young man could use a bit more training.

Great location! Clean, comfortable, outdoor hot tub seems to be year round which was nice although since the location is right on a major road, not exactly a peaceful soak but that was not a big deal. Decent free breakfast options.

I feel like this room used to be the broom closet. It was the last in the line next to the cleaning supply closet/room, and was tucked around the corner in a weird way. Smelled odd when we came in, but we opened the windows and were able to get fresh air into the room. It was just … a weird shape and a small room.

    Fantastic location, helpful staff.

The bed (a king) was a little soft and the comforter was a nightmare. It's made of a very slippery material, so it fell off the bed all night. I think the motel could change out these comforters and have much happier, better rested guests.

The staff we encountered were excellent, especially our super-friendly and efficient housekeeper. We didn't need service, except for towels and she left them carefully by the door. The following day she checked with us to see if we wanted more or less service. She was terrific.
