Close to restaurants and venue so we could walk. And we even met the mayor of Wilkes Barre who was so nice and friendly.

Close proximity to the venue we were going to. Very friendly staff at the front desk and free breakfast was great! Kitchen staff was also very nice and kept asking if everything was ok.

No daily housekeeping service, so had to take our own trash from the room. The carpet in our room could've used cleaning. Restaurant was not open at all.

I didn’t like that there was no door where the sink was in our room. If you turned on the sink light, it would flood the darkened room with light. Also would have been great to have fresh fruit on the buffet.

It was close to the venue where we were going to see a show. The room was comfortable.

Large, clean rooms. One block from bus transit center. Walking distance to department store, Starbucks, cafes and Wilkes University . Very friendly and helpful staff

The lady working the front desk during the day was a bit rude. Everything is rather dated and could use some TLC. The beds are really small and some new pillows would be great.

The free breakfast wasn't too bad, better than most. But this location is very dated, could use a good facelift. The last working the front desk at night was very nice. The rom was really quite, which was great because I've been to hotels where all you here is outside noises.

If it wasn't raining our day of departure, we would have loved to have stayed the day and walk around town. However, it was too sloppy and wet. But, that is mother nature's fault ... not the hotels.

Staff was super friendly and eager to help in any way. Room was very clean. Location was a plus. We walked to the Kirby Center, restaurants, and downtown attractions. Parking was secure and convenient. Full breakfast was delicious.

The common areas of the property could use a bit of a refresh. The breakfast room is through the bar area of the restaurant and a bit hidden. Not much in the way of healthy-eating choices. The few pieces of fresh fruit were old and wrinkled.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of restaurants/shopping in the area. Special recommendation for Thai Thai, a short walk from the hotel, and their amazing chicken satay. The portion was so large, it made a perfect meal for one.

Room outdated, breakfast was not good. There was a very rude and grumpy gentleman employee that appeared to be the manager in the office during my check- in.

My husband and I came to hear a concert at the Kirby Center. It’s a quick walk across the street… talk about convenient!. We attend quite a few events at the Kirby Center and the Best Western Plus is always where we stay. I love this hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, from the moment the front desk reception greets, until the cheery, “thanks for staying with us” when we leave. The complimentary breakfast is nothing short of spectacular! It always amazes me of the selection that is offered … hot, cold, light and comforting food selections. One can’t possibly NOT find a delicious choice to start the day. The wait staff is wonderful!. We’ve eaten dinner, at different times, in the hotel’s restaurant. The meals have all been first class and delicious! The hotel has an old elegance that is so unlike the generic cold and universal look of newer hotels. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless. I look forward to the next event at the Kirby, or just a trip to Wilkes Barre, for the opportunity to stay at the Best Western Plus.

May be still improving the room we stay 5015 ( we have a small dog ). The putty patch on wall was not sanded ? Maybe going to repaint.. idk

On Sunday breakfast they allowed a local homeless person (he does a lot of cleaning up of garbage in the area which is great… however….) Into the breakfast area, who proceeded to take off his shirt and change standing next to the buffet. He was loud, yelling and very unclean touching all the utensils for the breakfast buffet. Overall incredibly off putting.

The ventilation system (in room fan) went on an off during the night.

The breakfast was fantastic. The food was well prepared and there was an attendant available. The banana-pumpkin pancakes were great. There were real china plates rather than paper plates, and also real cutlery. The breakfast was in the hotel restaurant, so a pleasant setting. The window (balcony door) could be cracked open to get fresh air. The hotel restaurant was closed but there was an excellent Italian one in a short walking distance. It was easy to reach from the highway.

Have stayed here before. Staff are great. Wonderful friendly and very helpful. Location is perfect. Quiet room too. The pool is beautiful although we did not have a chance to use it

Not much to do in the Area, as we travelled out of the area to sightsee and explore.

Nice, especially choices of hot and cold items and making your own waffles. Plenty of hot and cold beverage options. And included in the room bill.
