The a/c filter was about 40% clogged with dust (it should be cleaned at least monthly, if only to protect their investment). The microwave oven was a burnt hazard (see photos); I was promised a new one the next day. Two days later, the manager (?) switched mine for another room's, which wasn't much better (although the bottom was clear, the top was scorched, as was the mica plate). Four days later - - my 2nd to last day - - I got a brand new microwave oven. The "office" chair was badly worn (see photo) and could not be raised to the height of the table, forcing me to use pillows on the seat in order to use my computer on the table, comfortably. Although it's a non-smoking room, the maids smoke, albeit outdoors, which means that anything they touch or breathe on gets a smoky odor. The floor of the bath/shower is above the level of the bathroom floor, making it difficult, if not dangerous, to get in or out (I'm 5'10" with an average build, and 100% fit).

I requested and got a room facing the back, away from traffic and typical motel noises. Having been at this hotel nearly a decade earlier, and not expecting much different, I was surprised to see new-looking floors and bedding and refrigerator, and, overall, clean throughout, including the bathroom. The room was surprisingly quiet and comfortable; far better than my previous stay. Internet wi-fi was good, except that I had to log in once or twice a day.

The breakfast was basic - prepackaged danishes.

The man at the front desk was friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was clean and seemed to have been recently updated-fresh paint & flooring, and the bathroom was pristine. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. We would stay again.

The couple that runs it were excellent hosts. The hotel was inexpensive and very affordable. All we really needed was a room to sleep because there is too much to do in the area...especially for bourbon tours!

The first room smelled and they moved us to another room. My bed had metal box springs and every time I moved it squeaked really loud. The heat in the room didn't work correctly even when you tried to adjust it.

I didn't like the fact that the night I checked in, I wasn't told I couldn't check out until 11. I had a cash deposit down on the room, I had somewhere to be at 9 am I called to have someone come check the room so I could leave and receive my deposit back. I was told it would be 20 min housekeeping wasn't in. I waited and waited here came 930 I called again and they told me they still wasn't in, so I asked if they could come in and look I had to leave I was told no at 1045 the one that told.me no I have to wait until they got there.. The owner finally came to the room, looked at me said get out, shut the door amd went to office. I went behind him, got a deposit, and he never said 1 word after leaving the room I said thank you, and he gave me a look, and I walked out... NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE

The room was up to date but rather small. The space would be fine for one person but a little cramped for 2 people. It was very clean. We did not participate in breakfast but the area I saw with coffee and perhaps some food was small and sparse.
