We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesI did not like that I was hit with a $100 Security deposit that was not known until the time of check in. This amount was NOT a hold but charged to my card at the time of check in. This was not listed on the website or any communication with the hotel personnel.
The room was very nice and comfortable. Really liked how it was set up and the bed was very cozy.

United StatesVery cheap and thin towels and no bath mat, no freezer section in the refrigerator, breakfast was the worst. Scrambled eggs were inedible. Smell of curry when you walked in the front door. I don’t expect this at a corporate style hotel. When I checked in, the manager wasn’t welcoming at all. Never smiled, wasn’t friendly. Charged me $100 deposit for one night which is ridiculous. I asked him why and he said in case I do damage. I’m a single 65 year old man traveling.

United StatesThe bed pillows were stuffed tightly into a wad inside the pillowcase. They were too bulky and uncomfortable to use. In the morning we realized that if we had opened up the pillowcases the pillow would have laid flat and we could have used them. Next time. There was no place to hang a hand towel or bath towel except a small hook on the back of the bathroom door. Just little things but we had a good sleep, it was quiet and we would definitely come again.
The hotel seems new! Everything was fresh and clean. The manager Cliff was very helpful. Hot breakfast was good, great pot of beans was offered. Very nice. Out back is a beautiful patio area and pool. We didn't use it because of the weather but looks great for summer. Would recommend to anyone!

It is not the fault of honest paying customers for other peoples crimes or lack of ability to pay. The owner should stop yelling at customers, ruining their trip for no reason. No complimentary breakfast, rude staff, dirty room. The owner of the location was working at the front desk. He was mean, rude and was very inappropriate with me. He asked for my credit card, which I was happy to give. He then asked for my ID to confirm the credit card belonged to me, I gave him my ID to confirm that it is my credit card and he told me that he receives a lot of fakes. He then proceeded to shove a huge binder of credit card charges that have a record of disputed charge to the hotel that he printed our and put into a large binder. He then he yelled at me about how many customers are scammers and he cant trust anyone. He said he hates people and I am no different than anyone else, he needs to prove my identity. He was extremely rude, I was simply trying to check in to my room. I did not need a 20 minute rant from the hotel owner about his bad experiences owning a hotel. I finally got my room key and went to my room, only to find it was still dirty. The beds were made but the garbage bins were full and there were no clean towels in the bathroom. I was afraid to call the front desk, as I knew the owner would probably yell at me for needing something. The next morning the complimentary breakfast was slim, no milk for the cereal, no creamer and no hot coffee, it was just pitiful. I went to check out, and inform them that my room was dirty, but the owner was at the desk again and was rude to me again, he did not ask how my stay was and got angry when I asked for my receipt. I saw him act the same way to other customers upon checkout. It was a very bad experience. I would not stay there again.
