Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe room was hot and would not cool down. We didn't like that there was not an outdoor spa area only an indoor one. We wish there was a bit more choice of foods to eat. By the end of day of wine tasting, we looked forward to a meal.
It was a first time visit to Napa and the hotel was nice and central to most. The breakfast that comes with the reservations was amazing and fills you up on the way to wine tasting tours!

United StatesThe indoor pool area did not look very clean. Our room was not as impressive as we’d hoped, for a luxury executive suite. Appetizers for happy hour could have been better.
The property is nice, very pretty overall. I liked the atrium. The outdoor courtyard/patio area is very peaceful and beautiful. We really appreciated the different sink areas in our room and mirrors. We were a family of five, so that helped when we were getting ready. The breakfast that’s included is fantastic! A ton of options. Made to order food!! Happy hour was also fun! Great drink options.

United StatesThe posting appeared to suggest that the room has a kitchen, the kitchen did not have a stove so there was no way for us to use the groceries we carried with us to fix quick meals for the toddler. The sofa bed was not very comfortable to sleep on.
The accommodation was good sized for a family of six to stay for two nights. The outdoor water features are quite cool. The hotel has made-to-order hot breakfast options that are really good. Our toddler enjoyed spending time in the jacuzzi, and even took a dip in the shallow end of the large indoor pool.

IsraelThe problem with our wing was that it's built all wood/iron no different than many motels with outside corridor. So every person walking outside the room, or in the room above shook the room. Many rooms are also facing the highway and are not soundproof. So if you are sensitive to noise like we are, it's not ideal.
Breakfast is great as usual. Rooms are large. The hotel is really beautiful - the gardens, the lobby and the inner court.

United StatesIt was very cold in the room. We tried to turn up the heat but the heater didn’t put out warm air until the morning. There was a little dog hair in the room. Also, there was no coffee in the room, only tea.
The breakfast was okay. It would have been nice to see some vegan choices, ie-oat milk, more choices in uncut fruit. The property and grounds are beautiful and well kept.
