Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United States1. We were told we would have housekeeping after 3 days (we stayed 6). We never got any housekeeping and we had to ask the front desk for trash bags to empty our own trash cans, had to ask for toilet paper, had to ask for another little bar of soap (I finally went to Target & bought soap and tissues). 2. The coffee in the room was great, but you only got 2 cups & no one refilled it. So only 1 day of coffee in the room. 3. The free breakfast was convenient, but no bagels (claimed they ran out the 1st day). That was disappointing because they didn't have them our whole stay. Two of the days they had bacon, which was good, but only those 2 days.
The front desk was pleasant. The room was comfortable and clean. I liked the coffee pot in the room. The 3rd floor was quiet. The free breakfast was convenient, but should have bagels. The hair dryer in the room was perfect.

United StatesOther than the the employees, the room was basic, the bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom fan was obnoxious, the breakfast was awful, there was no flavored creamer for morning coffee, the downstairs ice machine was broken, we got in late after a concert and there was only parking spots in the very rear of the hotel (in the dark) where there wasn’t any entry doors, my key didn’t work on the side doors, and there was phone charges on both sides of the bed.
The employees were very friendly!!

United StatesUpon check-in, the room was not ready. Short staff. The pool was closed, and that was the downfall my daughter was really looking forward to it. could have said something online. The bed had hair, and it squeaked, and it was so worn outit hurt my back. The sink in the bathroom, well, the water took a long time to go down. I really thought it would be a really nice hotel for the money we paid but nope. I'm not impressed at all.
