How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I didn’t like the shower and looks like it needs more cleaning and the bathroom it self need to be clean better all in the corners and I don’t like that the have the sink and the faucet on a angle because it’s water getting everywhere when you’re trying to brush your teeth..
Love that the air conditioner and the water was hot for me and my friend to take a shower..

room 224 - no internet connection, cockroaches, and uncomfortable bed.
The first room I stayed for 2 days (NO:224) has an uncomfortable bed, no wifi connection and noisy as it is next to some machines which I dont know what they are exactly and unfortunately I saw some cockroaches at the bathroom, which I hadn't told my wife as I didn't want her to feel scared. That room is a real problem, you need to make a lot for that room. However, when I reported the problems, the staff helped me to change the room, the new room was so clean and had good internet connection and was free of noise. Thanks to this room, I give a 6, if it wasn't, I would give a 4. (no: 101) You shouldn't serve a room like 224 to the people as it doesn't offer even basics like a comfortable bed and internet connection.

The walls are thin and you hear everything on the streets outside. Either smelled like old lady or sweat especially running the ac. I opted out and used the ceiling fan, worked great. The TV isn't a smart TV so you just have basic channels I watched videos on my phone the whole trip. You can skip out on the breakfast as there's cafes nearby that charge half the price.

The stay would be perfect if mattresses were sturdy.

Water pressure in the bathroom was a bit on the weaker side, saw some bugs on the floor, windows can’t stay open.
Extremely friendly staff, very comfortable bed. Nice rooftop to relax and smoke.

The freezer was not fit for purpose. My ice cream did not survive the night. The bathroom could've been cleaner.
The staff were very friendly and helped in any queries. I liked the amenities in the reception and the location was excellent. i.e. water, coffee, tea.

Big garbage truck noise next to our window starting at around 5 am. And lasted for quite some time, which wakened us and kept us from going back to sleep

That there was a stain hidden on my pillow that I didn't notice until I shuffled my pillows the next morning. Informed the front desk. And they just said...sorry. hmmm.

The room could have used a bit of love. Also the shower curtain really should have been changed. It wasn’t horrible - but could have been refreshed.
The location was excellent & Andres was very pleasant & answered all our questions at check in.

Damaged floor in the room was aslant. Like almost all the Florida Hotels, price does not fit to what you get! Everything was old, no parking available so counting everything together it's not worth what you have to pay.
All the staff was extremely friendly and helped wherever they could !

No kleenex or coffee in the room (these are essential for me). also only one washcloth for two people, even after I asked for one. They offer a less than exciting breakfast for $15 per person, which we tried once. The menu promised fresh fruit, but my cousin didn't get any. It would be lovely if the coffee was free for people who wake up early but aren't ready to eat yet. The staff who greeted us didn't tell us about the rooftop sitting area, which is terrific and made up for the small lobby. I found it by accident on day 2.
Location, friendly staff. wonderful retro art and vibe.
