Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe parking garage felt unsafe and not very lit. There was a lack of signage and couldn’t even see where your car is as there is very little lighting. As a solo traveler, I didn’t feel safe. I stay at Marriott properties for the reason of feeling safe.
The room was clean and comfortable.

United StatesMass Turnpike is below the hotel. I can hear cars whizzed past by all night and my room is on 12 floor. The noise gets refine around 3AM. The breakfast was very overpriced. It was a buffet type of breakfast. They should offer free breakfast or charge less. I would come back if it's price well.
My room was great, bed was comfortable, spacious and walk in shower. There is a bar call Social on first floor.

United StatesThe property and people were terrific. The in hotel Tavern needs improvement—too tired to go elsewhere the night we arrived, we decided to just have dinner there, and that was a mistake. Or maybe I should say “misssteak”—I was served the worst piece of meat ever and charged $22! I could have had the steak tips at the adjacent hotel restaurant for just $2 more, and it is quite good. Also, the hotel could not locate my prepaid reservation for a king room, so they gave us a room with 2 doubles, all they had, and while they gave us two complimentary passes for breakfast, we did not get the room we had reserved and paid for. Also, at the busiest hour of the morning, the elevators were filled with the housekeeping staff and their supplies. Many guests had to wait to get an elevator. The Social restaurant is good but noisy., with excellent service and a nice menu, reasonable prices.
Very convenient and accessible

United KingdomThis is a super hotel if you need to be in the location. However, it has a serious problem with traffic noise ( which of course is beyond the hotel’s control) Once I woke at 4 am there was no possibility of sleeping due to the busy traffic on the roads which surround the hotel.
Very Confortable Looks like there has been a recent refurbishment.

United StatesI was told that I could request a tool away bed. However I get a call on my way to the hotel that I couldn’t have the bed because it was a fire hazard. However they did give me a room with 2 beds. I appreciated that. The rooms and bathrooms were too little.

United StatesNoisy, probably because rain put the kids' hockey game indoors? Two bath towels, one washcloth, one hand towel for two guests? When we asked for more we were told there weren't any more? Odd, for a big hotel chain.

United StatesThe price is relatively high for not being right in Boston. The breakfast is not free. The incidental charge that goes on the card is pretty dramatic (I know it gets refunded if no issues, however it’s a large hold). Parking was $15/night on top of everything, which I understand for being in Downtown, but this is a relatively quieter area.
The location was great. There was a bus line right across the street that brings you to Boston. Only about a 15-20 minute bus ride. The room itself was clean and the bar next to the lobby was very nice and very convenient.

United StatesToo many bus loads - crowded breakfast, but of course this keeps customer percentages up. No Microwave in rooms, not enough drawers for clothing, no long mirror in room. For handicapped it would be nice to have the spaces out front be for them.
Convenient to Boston and Newton hospitals, employees were helpful and pleasant, reasonable parking rate, clean room, good bed.
