Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was a dance competition and EVERYTHING was cut off. Every time we just tried to go eat we were hassled and told we couldn’t go because we didn’t have badges. My mom and I had to show our keycards to prove we were staying at the fox tower. Then we were really hassled after dinner at David Burke while walking back. Even worse we tried to extend our stay just one night and was told there was no room and we can’t because we’re not apart of the competition. Why was I even able to book our stay if we were not allowed to be in the hotel with the dance competition? This was horrible. Usually staying at Fox tower is an amazing, fun experience. After all these years, this was first time our visit was so unpleasant. We should’ve been contacted and told that there would be such restrictions. We could’ve went somewhere else. This was so disappointing.
We’ve been coming for years and it’s always beautiful.

United StatesThe location was difficult. We were there for a dance competition and nothing was open. We found it difficult to find places open to have meals! The wait at places that were open was excessive. The list the hotel gave us that told us what was open was incorrect. There was nothing for my children to do. They are to young for the activities provided by the complex.
The room was decent.

United StatesThere were not many restaurants open. I understand due to COVID there were precautions in place. That was my only complaint. I do understand COVID. I will be back when COVID is not around.
Everything such as food and shopping was at my disposal. I had a great time. I have never been to the area before and was very pleased with the condition of the facility.

United StatesMy sink was moldy, my children cut their legs on a bed piece that stuck out and was missing a plastic place holder, the fridge didnt work they had to bring me 5 different fridges and one time they came in while I was out of the room and left my door open. Not once did house keeping come to my room to clean it during my 5 day stay. My toile broke 2 times. Nothing was open during the week which was understandable due to covid.

There was no breakfast. Nothing was open. Our rooms were not cleaned for our entire stay- garbage cans not emptied, sheets not cleaned and towels not replenished.

United StatesRooms small even for a suite, lighting poor and some did not work. You pay a resort fee and there is no housekeeping unless you call and then they still did not come. Maintenance was unclogging/snaking a drain in the room above us at 1am. It was super loud, woke me up and had to call the front desk to complain. Coffee station was in the bathroom-gross. No microwave in the room. Fire pits in the outdoor courtyard are for decoration only and can't be lit. Spa not open, many restaurants not open or limited hours. I realize time are tough but don't charge people a resort fee when they do not have access to all of the services.
The walk in shower was nice

United StatesWe did not fully grasp the fact that NOTHING in the Fox Tower would be open during our entire stay. We arrived on Sunday and by Monday afternoon, everything in the Fox Tower (both Junior locations, the slot machines, the arcade and the small food court) were shuttered and dark- they even blocked off access to the escalators that took us to the Grand Pequot where we were forced to walk 15-20 minutes each way for dining options. The room did not have a microwave and the fridge froze most of the food I brought. I ended up purchasing a small Keurig machine from Walmart because the lines at Dunkin Donuts and/or Starbucks were 30-45 minutes long each day. We were there for a week long dance competition that was held in the Fox Tower Premiere Ballroom but you wouldn't know it- there was no signage to direct people where to go. We were told the pool would be open M-W 8am-8pm but it was closed because it was cloudy- mind you it never rained a drop! But it was PACKED on Sunday for Liquid Sunday when the weather was far more foreboding. Very disappointed- and when we complained, they sent us all an email stating we were informed of this at booking and we should have checked prior to arrival as to what would be opened. Well, we did and were told things would be open. Will never go back.
Staff was accommodating when we needed fresh towels, toilet paper etc since there was no daily housekeeping service.

United StatesWhen we arrived the hotel lobby looked great but then it all went downhill from there. We had to wait 3 hours for our luggage, they wouldn't let us take it, they wanted it on a cart to bring up themselves (I assume so they could get tipped) but we waited 3 hrs, that's rediculious!! On top of the wait for our luggage they had a liquor party going on in the pool that sunday we arrived with so many drunks running around half naked and we all had our dance teams there. NOT COOL at all, my kids should not have seen that at all. Rooms were gross and not clean, the rooms honestly looked like they have not been touched in over a year. No restaurants were open at all the entire week, we had to hike it to find food, we practically starved the entire week. We had to yell at front desk every day for them to open the pool(they did not plan to open the pool the whole week Monday to friday for the thousands of dancers they CHOSE to host but they sure as heck opened it for $50 a head at their adult drinking party) staff was extremely rude, they refused to clean the rooms all week, we had no toilet paper or clean towels. Foxtower is a joke of a hotel. The casino wasn't even opened all week either. It was completely dead in that hotel with more security then anything. Completely dissapointed with the amount we paid and absolutely no amenities were provided. I called twice before we left for our almost 9hr drive to foxtower to verify everything and they advised us everything would be opened for the dancers from 8am to 8pm well that was a lie, we had nothing to do with these kid's. They kept saying it was because they were short staffed, then why host a dance competition at your hotel if you were short staffed and you knew thousands of children were headed your way. I want my money back and management to contact me ASAP! This is not okay. I have never had such a bad experience with a hotel until we arrived in Connecticut. Never again.
Nothing to like when nothing is open!

United StatesWe stayed on Sunday night and check in was not until 5PM which is annoying. We went to check in at 3:30PM to see if our room was available and it was not available. We didn't get into the room until around 4:20PM which in my opinion is late.
The hotel was nice, bed was comfortable, room was clean -- noise level very minimal which was good. The hotel staff was nice but it would have been nice had they advised us about pool hours, where the elevator to the room was, etc. This was our first time staying there so we didn't have any of that information.

United StatesRoom was rundown and needed a deep cleaning. Garbage was only picked up if you called them even though we stayed a week, I had to purchase my own garbage bags! Hotel room was never cleaned the entire stay. We were charged a daily resort fee and nothing was open. Elevator stopped working randomly while my daughter was on it and she had to run up 6 flights of stairs right before her dance competition. I'm sure it was a great hotel at one point, but needs some serious management changes and updating.
Location of the hotel, literally the only thing going for it.
