How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No power, no breakfast, dog barking at night when we got in and dog continually barking in the morning that woke us up. First started barking at 6am then continually at 7 am as if owner left them alone. Unable to get Hilton Honors points because no power. Unable to take a warm shower or any shower in the dark.

Very clean, great location, great breakfast, nice indoor heated pool, good coffee in the lobby and friendly staff . Must try the BBQ place across the street . It was amazing!

Not being proactively informed that daily housekeeping is not included. When I asked, they referred to a tiny sticker on the bathroom mirror. Come on what what a creepy argument. Breakfast was hell. Juices, milk, bagels, cream cheese running out. Front desk said, that this is all they can do. Hilton, you have to jump in and help.

The hotel staff were great. Drew took care of us and gave us great tips on places of interest. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was a plus!

The beds were small for two persons. Expected more from a *queen room". breakfast bad, no vegetables, no milk for coffee, no juice (was. Not working), very cramped in the breakfast area.

The room wasn’t made up when we got back in the evening from Yosemite. There was no hot water Sunday morning so we couldn’t take showers:(. they were giving credits out but said, since I booked through a third party, I wasn’t eligible

Parking fee is ridiculous, especially when it was not disclosed. Room cleaned only if you stay 4 nights? Never disclosed. The price per night is too high, and for what if they don’t clean your room. The breakfast was not very good, too few choices, and not a good selection of items that were there.

I believe there were fleas in the room because my 11 year old son woke up with bites all over his body.

The staff wasn’t very friendly and the girl working the front seemed annoyed when I explained I had issues with my room key working. The Wi-Fi didn’t work either and she seemed annoyed when I went to the front desk and asked for the Wi-Fi password again. She wasn’t very friendly and seemed like she had an attitude. Front desk should be friendly and eager to help. I’ve stayed at other hotels with excellent customer service and was really disappointed with this experience. My room key had multiple issues and wouldn’t open our door. Thankfully I had family staying with me so they could open the door for me when needed. It was a big annoyance and I didn’t want to bother the front desk about the issues because they seemed annoyed by my issue.
