Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesI stayed for 5 nights and nobody came to clean my room. I had to ask a worker in the hallway for toilet paper and towels. The shower dribbled. I didn't switch rooms because I had already unpacked for my five night stay. Among other things the quilt was stained. I stayed at a lot of different Hampton Inns and this was the worst one yet. I was very surprised.
Spectacular breakfast. A different selection every day. I have to give the workers five stars out of five. They were very friendly and very helpful.

United StatesThere is no staffing after hours. There should be an emergency number or a manager on duty for when people get locked out or the magnetic strip stops working. Mine stopped working and there was no one on site. We had to walk thru an employee only door to find someone. Very frustrating.
It was clean and very decently priced. The pool was nice and warm and front desk desk friendly. The bed was super comfortable!

Quiet location and easy to get to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The little breakfast bar with yogurt and fruit was nice.
