I really liked the little kitchen with coffee available! The host sent a message on how to get in and it was very easy and the WiFi was excellent. The rooms were clean and quiet. It was also a nice neighborhood to walk around in.

It was very cold during our stay especially at night. Theres no heaters inside and it was very cold. Unfortunately the blanket didnt keep me warm

I could hear everything being said from the place next door . A bit uncomfortable. And it was very pricey considering that and having to share a bathroom and kitchen

Location was perfect for exploring outside of the tourist area. Quiet wooded street close to trails. There was free laundry which was a very nice surprise

Overall the heating and electric could have been improved upon. Thermostat was in the main house that Kathy had to adjust for me. (I was there when it was in the 30's and 40's) The small space heater kind of dried the air out so I had to leave the window cracked open. The electric could have been updated as the kitchen and part of the bedroom was on one 15 amp circuit that tripped once when i had the hot plate and space heater on at the same time.

it was a nice location not far from the Buddhist park and not that far from Whole Foods. The space was comfortable and homey. Also Kathy was very responsive to me requests and needs.

Owner kept us updated given our later arrival. Studio was perfect for us. Fully outfitted, excellent beds, bath and WiFi. Close distance to our hiking goals: Devil's Bridge and Boynton Canyon. And close to grocery stores and restaurants.

One tiny downside, there was no thermostat control in the studio, and the central heat seemed to have been turned up a lot in the morning which made it a bit uncomfortable.

The space needs a bit of updating- for example rug shampooing/or new carpeting- or ideally stone flooring with area rugs due to the clay soil issues in that area. The kitchenette was a bit cramped- no counter space- small fridge, and the hot pot needed to be cleaned - as it had caked on sediment inside. The coffee pot (I like the glass carafe) but the filter didn't work well- needed to have a mini paper lining- but there was none available- and the fine strainer didn't work with the coffee. Also would have liked a higher quality coffee other than Folgers. I didn't have control of the heat/air conditioning as it was controlled by the owner in the main part of the house, and when I asked her to turn down the heat, she did so. The owner was entertaining on Sat. night- and cooking dinner of (peppers and onions?) and the odor was very strong and the conversation was loud- felt like the owner and guests were in my room as they were on the other side of the wall but could hear and smell everything (I dislike peppers and did not like the odor of cooking peppers). The bathroom plumbing was a bit wonky- gurgling - but didn't back up luckily. Also there was a hole in the back wall of the bathroom vanity, and when the heat went on, cold air could be felt blowing into the bathroom when I was standing at the sink (couldn't block it anyway). There was a large framed picture hanging precariously in the hallway, and the owner said it was supposed to be like that- but I was nervous it was going to fall off the wall and break. I arrived at night, and there was no light on outside the entrance- so it was hard to tell if I was in the right place- so I would recommend a motion detector light or having a porch light on at night when arriving. I would have liked to have met the owner in person, but I got the feeling that I would be imposing, but I would have liked to have made a personal connection.

The location was superb-on a quiet residential street- with beautiful views of the clay hills/mountains. It was a quick walk to the Buddhist meditation center/walking trails - which was a must see/experience. It was nice to have a suite set-up, with a kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom and sitting area. I appreciated the ceramic heater/fan for white noise, and the ability to open the window at night for fresh air. The bed was very comfortable. The Buddhist altar in the kitchen area was a nice touch- and I appreciated the offer for a meditation session - but didn't take the owner up on her generous offer. The host answered my text messages promptly when I had questions. The driveway was right in front of the door- so easy to park, and close by. The stars at night were spectacular- it is truly a sacred area and felt spiritually fulfilled.

If there’s an AC in the room, it would be very great. That’s the only major thing that we missed.

At first, we got a bit worry after reading those not positive comments about their stays. Because it was a last minute trip, and we only stayed for 1 night, so we decided to give it a shot. We love the location, very convenient. Everything inside is nice and neat. The host, Kathy, was very quick in responding and flexible.

The door inside is hard to open. It gets stuck and you have to push it hard.

Extremly quiet place in a residence street close to the center. It has everything you could wish for. A huge fridge, comfy bathroom, a kitchen fully equipped. It was great!
