How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I really didn't like that I couldn't collect IHG (Holiday Inn) points for this reservation (because it was done via booking.com). This stay was quite expensive and I counted to get a minor reward (like free onboard wifi during my return flight, this is payable with miles/points). However, either IHG or booking.com were way too greedy this time
10 min walk from Times sq. Barely standard hotel chain services, with breakfast included, decent beds, kettle inside your room etc

Staff was very good. The shade in my room had trouble and they listened and resolved it. Very clean room and bathroom! Very good check in experience- efficient and informative. Afraid I didn’t have time to try the breakfast- next time. I was impressed by super clean sheets and comforters, almost felt like this was a brand new hotel, so white, so new! I felt safe. Good neighborhood. I’ll be back!

Before I had arrived I had heard about it being choc a bloc at breakfast. It was chaos. The area is much too small to accommodate the residents. People bumping into each other causing spillages, most people unable to sit down and eat there. The hotel needs to do much better.

The f train Subway was near their location but was three sets of steps down to the train which was a little difficult for seniors
Staff was very helpful in a very difficult situation. Another hotel uptown at canceled us at the last minute and a staff was great at rectifying the situation.

The noise from the elevator was quite loud in our room. The breakfast area was pretty small for the number of guests
The staff was EXCELLENT! They made up for any shortcomings by being so friendly, efficient, professional.

The bathroom was a little small and did not have a trash. The breakfast was out of some items when we got there and was slow to get refilled even with a line waiting.
I liked the location to all the places in New York city and the bed was comfortable. Having breakfast available in the morning helped alot.

Had to call guess services. And go down, bc the lady at front desk placed me on hold for a long times. The TV was not turning on. It was something simple. Took a long time, Had to go downstairs myself.

We were in room 201 and the view was of a pile of trash and paint cans and just a bunch of general junk.

Overall very good. Clean. The grout in the shower wasn't spotless, but it has all been cleaned. For a budget stay, this place meets all the basic needs. A microwave would be a bonus.
It's convenient to midtown, but it's closer to the Westside Hwy. This means it will be a hike to get to any restaurants/theaters and Times Square. .The area is quiet compared to Times Square. As a solo traveler this place was perfect. Comfy bed, firm and soft pillows, lots of towels, a fridge, Keurig, alarm clock, iron and Dove bath and body products provided. I liked that it's in a mellow neighborhood. There's a fitness center. There's free breakfast from 630-930. The staff were all very friendly and it seemed like everyone was happy working together. I mention it because when do you see comradery like that? Amazing. It's NYC, expect a small room. Black out shades were helpful.
