Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

I had selected double beds when booking, but when I got there they only gave me a single (not the properties fault, I blame booking.com for that one), they did not have double beds left even though that what was I had booked, the clerk ended up giving me a suite with double beds making it right, so that was nice of him!

Continental breakfast wasn't always restocked on certain items during open hours. Noted pancake maker not working most of the time we were staying there.
Nothing really-Room was small and hard to maneuver in due to 2 Queen beds taking up most of the space; bathroom was tiny-only 1 person could be in it at a time. Noted carpet and room chair needed to be replaced due to stains.
