How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The front desk guy was very nice and helpful and clear, he even tried to speak Spanish to me because he notice I am mexican. I would recommend thisnplace to whoever who want sometjing very near of everything

There is nothing I can say I did not like.
Staff was great. Very polite and knowledgeable. Food options were great. Breakfast was good but a little pricey. Location was fantastic. Room was clean and well stocked.

The rooms were a bit dated with torn wallpaper in small areas etc. Our air didn't initially work but maintenance came to fix it quickly.
It was close to the attractions we wanted to see. Everyone was very nice at the hotel.

I asked for a quiet room. Night 1 middle of night there is incredible banging and hammering that woke everyone around us up. Security was called, some hotel employee was working in the kitchen - apparently. Next night train whistle in the middle of the night. 2 nights out if 4 being woken up in the middle of the night. Not a quiet room.
The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and accommodating for the most part. The location was superb. Metro access also excellent.

I did not like that we paid $45 to park when the sign said $19. (Weekend rate excluding hotel guests) and having only 1 available restaurant on site for each meal.
I liked the cleanliness and location. I liked having Starbucks on site as well as a grab n go market.

Water was not hot consistently, bed covers were not as comfy as most hotels, Breakfast was just okay.
Kids eat free(but you have to remind them some times), location is perfect, Starbucks on site is nice(but it does get really busy).

The receptionist is an older lady (she said she worked there for 20+ yrs) and my inquiry was about why my booking didn’t have breakfast. She was not nice in explaining about it, it has something to do with booking.com . She needs to RETIRE IF SHE DOES NOT HAVE ANY PR SKILLS!!! I usually book a hotel with free breakfast. I might have missed some info when booking this hotel??? I Just don't like people who made you feel “Stupid” to questions about “why”. And besides the time I booked, I I opened both Expedia and booking.com. I end up using booking.com because I have an option of using PayPal which is very convenient for me. She could have said some options for me. But nothing was discussed.

When we took showers the first morning the shower was loose and did not turn on all the way.. We did call down to the front desk and someone came up to put in a new unit within 20 min, which was impressive. Having to pay to park staying at the hotel..
Close to all attractions and train Ricky the concierge was absolutely great, helping getting us a tour that picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off. Gave us information on other things to do, as well. Store by the side of check in counter had things we needed! Staff was friendly everywhere we went

Our room had the train tracks right outside - made for noisy late night when returning to our room and relatively early wake up call
Easy location to access all that DC had to offer - walking distance for everything. Great staff and in house reataurants hit the spot!
