Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesI didn’t like that I wound up with bed bug bites the first night, the room smelled like smoke. The second and third night were ok but the last night, two guys checked in and we’re given keys to our room and they walked in on my husband sleeping. This hotel needs updating and better managed…even though the staff was extremely friendly. I would not stay again though.

United StatesOur first night we were woken up by a car parked outside our window blasting rap music. We called the front desk and they said that they would go talk to them. The music was only a little bit lowered, they ended up being guests in the hotel. Throughout the night I kept hearing a loud male voice talking. He was very loud and kept us awake all night. In the morning that person was eating breakfast and seemed to be a friend of the desk clerk. This person was loud and obnoxious while people were eating breakfast. We checked out that morning as we could not handle another night like that and we requested a credit for our second night stay. I do not believe we received a credit but will pursue. Will never stay at a Quality Inn

AustraliaThe room had an overwhelming smell - disinfectant perhaps? No common area apart from the very crowded breakfast area. No one supervising breakfast, no masks worn by staff. I would class this as a two star hotel. Even for August it was very expensive.
