    All was lovely.

    Good sized room for New York. Great location. Lovely bar for a pre or post dinner drink. Helpful staff. Clean rooms.

    The room AC wasn’t working the first night. It didn’t get fixed until the second day. So the first night was not comfortable.

    The coffee machine didnt work, and we had another rooms coffee machine and tray outside in the hallway for 2 or 3 days.

    My in-room dining experience wasn't great. My hamburger (the actual patty) was charred and not seasoned well. The rest of the meal was prepared well. I expected more for $150 meal.

    I wish there was some flexibility of free breakfast or free parking. Also, wish check-in time was 12.00 noon instead of 3.00 pm. Lots of flights arrive in the morning and one needs to shower and rest before sightseeing.

    Loved the cleanliness of the room. The staff was polite and helpful. The hotel is safe and feels like home. The room decor is worth the stay.

    The cleaning staff opened the door of the room for us twice on the day of check out when we didn't have clothes, that's why I lowered the score, the rest was all good, thanks.

    i think they should stop billing this hotel as luxury. it is not. it’s a typical new york hotel with uninspirin room decor and functionality.

    The price of drinks in the bar was extreme and the waiters very slow. Considering the guys earn a living from tips I would have expected to see them really going out of their way to serve us and others when it felt like they were just drifting along. It was circa $29 for 2 beers and that felt a bit heavy

    We loved the hotel. From the warm greeting we received when we arrived to the beautiful reception decor. It had a real feeling of class about it. The room was very comfortable too and spotlessly clean. We found the location to be walking distance of so much that we wanted to see too

    Staff could have been a bit more helpful and kind/nice at check-in. Concierge was very insightful, but staff at reception was not as friendly.

    The pipes take a very long to get cold water from the tap, which resulted in us not having a cup of cold water as quickly as we would have liked.

    This is a comfortable, stay in midtown - east. If you use, a 3rd party site, beware.

    As I checked in, I was greeted by an employee who immediately made note of the fact I booked with a third party. She was a little aloof. Imagine my surprise when we entered our room to find only one queen bed. Of course, I went right back to the registration where the same employee informed me that “double classic” can mean anything. First of all, I know I selected a room (pictured) with two beds and my email from Booking.com, which I still had, reflected it. This employee’s attitude was palpably rude. What made it even worse was as she passed me on to her manager and I waited (for 25 minutes) I got to witness how she treated other customers checking in. The difference was remarkable. She was friendly and engaging with every other person checking in, in particular, those who were members of the loyalty program. I happen to also be an IHG loyalty member, though admittedly it is not the group I use most frequently. Thankfully, the manager of the property was gracious and realized the error was on their end. He was able to rectify the situation by providing us with two king rooms. As this employee’s treatment was a bit jarring, I did mention it to the manager. In addition, I acknowledged that this summer I will be traveling for close to five weeks nonstop. By her quick judgment, the employee snubbed someone who is a more avid traveler than most of the other people she greeted so cheerfully. The saving grace at this property was the manager’s willingness to right the wrong. This property is among many others that are the same caliber. My choice was intentional and I would offer they need to ensure all employees treat all guests kindly for me to book here again, whether I do it with Booking.com or not.

    I picked this hotel based on its location. Another factor high on my list was that they offer a room with two beds. As I was traveling with my son, I only looked at properties that offered this as an option.
