Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo valet. Nope! Had to unload our luggage onto the sidewalk and my husband got the bellhop cart and loaded it up. We were told then (since no one at the hotel would respond to my several previous emails) to take a right into the parking garage directly across from the hotel. Easy enough (except for the traffic), but if you want your luggage unloaded, it ain't happenin'. Hair high up on bathroom wall. Some odd dirt mark by the light switch. Greasy face prints on the inside plexiglass covering the window. I cleaned all this up with disinfecting wipes I always bring to clean off our shoes when we come in from Bourbon St. Not a problem, just an observance: The building is older and the rooms are narrow. We had a regular room with one king bed. The dresser was at the foot of the bed, and only one person could walk thru there at a time. Not a dealbreaker, but people might think the room is too small because of this chokepoint.
Cute little hotel! Bed was nice, pillows were soft but had support. I needed a blanket, so my husband went to the front desk and got me one. It was nice and heavy. Room was comfortable. We had a window to see out onto Conti. Bourboun Street is a building away, so you were close to many good eateries and the action. There is no shower curtain, but if you do not purposely aim the shower head at the opening, you shouldn't get water everywhere, especially if you put the provided bathmat/towel down in front of the shower entrance.

CanadaWe were disappointed to find out that the hotel bar was closed and that the courtyard sofas were wet so unusable for our first 2 days there. Coffee downstairs was only ready at 7. A bit late for my liking.
Staff was friendly and useful. Location of the hotel was great. I loved our little balcony overseeing the courtyard.

United KingdomRoom wasn’t super clean - dust all over the floor, foot print on my pillow and a clump of hair left in the shower. The sun loungers and sofas are filthy - don’t think they’ve ever been cleaned. Other than that fine - but I’d just point out there is zero sound proofing in this hotel. You can hear absolutely everything happening in the hallway and in the rooms next to you, let alone the party noise from outside.
Right in the centre of the French quarter. Easy to walk to most places.

United StatesThe elevator swipe card did not work in the lobby. We had to walk to the second floor and take the elevator from there. The person at the reception just said we need to keep trying. They didn't come to help anyone nor put a sign saying its not working so they need to take it from 2nd fl. They were indifferent.
The room was really clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The room service cleaned the room daily. It's centrally located. There is some noise from bourbon street which might bother some. The rooms are decently insulated but the loud drums still come through (mildly). Nothing that an ear plugs cant fix, if you are a light sleeper!

United StatesRead when I booked online that parking wasn’t included and was across the street. But knowing the price of parking would’ve been helpful. Also the cleanliness of the hotel was like a C+ in the room and stairways. Our headboard was covered in dust from halfway up and the bathroom floor and shower floor needed a ton of scrubbing. All corners were dusty, dirty, and gross. Foyer was much cleaner but corners still needed attention. Also the bar downstairs was never open.
Location was amazing!

United Statespool wasn't heated, no breakfast as advertised, and our room door banged every time someone else on the hall opened their door or let their door slam. Which was only an issue when we were sleeping. It woke both of us up every time, which was annoying. Door should be an easy fix. There was also a bar that was advertised, but it was closed during our stay.
Great location, staff was very friendly, everything was very clean, security helped us feel safe, pool was pretty, bed was comfortable,

United StatesI did not like that the toilet was not clean...toilets have to be cleaned with a toilet brush. I did not like the shower walls and they were not clean. There should be no evidence of who stayed previously. Real clean should happen especially since the beginning of covid.
