The room smelled a little musty when we first got there, but it was clean. Too many donut shops on the main road where the hotel is situated, too much temptation!

The price we paid would be hard to beat, and we liked being able to par the car in front of our door. No more than 10 minutes to anywhere in town.

The shower knob pull-up to make it shower needs to be fixed. It is very hard to pull the shower knob on to work.

Nice check-in from the Host, No breakfast, Just hot coffee to enjoy in the morning. The Motel has nice darkening curtains to sleep. Clean sheets and pillow cases made it feel relaxing. Can park your car in front of the outside building right by your door if the other visitors are not there.

Shower head was cheap and had two settings: either one big stream or spread out wide with no streams in the middle. The nob to turn shower on was extremely hard to operate. It wouldn’t freely move up and down. The bath tub drainage was very slow. The tub, with the shower going, would fill up quickly even with the drain open.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The room, except for the bathtub issues I listed, looked well maintained.

Some people are just awesome neighbors for the motel, quiet and content as expected for a long journey then needing rest, but then there's a couple who love to slam the door and repetitive checking the truck with their key fob almost through out the night. The shower didn't work in the room we had correctly. Too stuck or not loose enough to pull up to the on position. Drained slow after the bathtub. A/c seemed a little off. You would put the setting, but it would not kick back on. Maybe it's the thermostat reader not picking up the temperature? we would turn the fan on and then turn the a/c on to get the fan to blow it in the room to be on. Didn't work correctly if you slept. Still, it's April and not the middle of summer, so that makes the visit fair enough to rough it through the evening and pass out from long trip drive. There was a small closet but no hangers.

The room was clean and fresh feeling when we arrived, and the tub was a nice size tub. Clean nice bathroom in the room we experienced. Enjoyed the little table and 2 chairs to sit at. Clean towels and sheets. Bed was king-size and comfy. T.v. was decent size to watch and enjoy a couple of shows. The fridge and microwave are very handy to use to make something quickly. Hair dryer was appreciated and needed. No breakfast there, but our choice was to get back on the road and grab a coffee and fresh fruit and then some late breakfast. McDonalds is right down the street along with Dunken Donuts, Baskin Robins. HEB Groceries or Brookshire Brothers Grocies are literally right by there. The parking lot at night was LIT uP.. now THATS some light put there! Hehehe They have a restaurant across the way, didn't get to check it out, seemed it got busy towards the evening. Sure, I can tell Texas LOVES their pickup trucks.. miss mine. They seemed to back it in here instead of pulling forward by their choice. It's interesting to see that, too. You can surely see your vehicle in the parking lot. Fresh coffee in the office area. Had a couple to enjoy.

Everything was fine. If I had to pick anything as a negative, it was the wool blanket on the bed. It was very scratchy.

We stayed 1 night on our way to Houston. It was very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly, and the price was very reasonable. We will stay there again.

I was working nights while in town. When I stopped by the office to grab a cup of coffee before starting my night shift, there was a sign on the coffee machine saying coffee only available during morning hours. It would’ve been great to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee during my morning, that was different than your morning. I stayed at this hotel for a week a couple weeks prior to this visit and when I asked about coffee, I was welcomed to the machine for a cup on my way out. They must’ve put that sign up after my last stay.

The neighbors were noisy, but that has to be expected. Loitering outside rooms should be discouraged. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay.

The room was very nice. It was very clean, and it had all the amenities advertised. Everything worked great, and the bed was comfortable. I will definitely stay at the Lufkin Inn again, and next time I will try the restaurant.

It was very clean and smelled good in the room.They had the ac on when we got there too.Which was nice since it was 100+ degrees outside.The room was spacious and furnished well.It was surprisingly nice especially for the money.The counter person at check in was friendly and courteous.If we are ever back in Lufkin again we will definitely stay at Lufkin Inn.
