I couldn't control the thermostat. I'm a warm sleeper and it got a little toasty in there. My girlfriend was happy as can be though so it balanced out. There was no screen on the window but in the winter that isn't a big deal. When I visit again in the summer and want to open the window I hope there is a screen to keep the bugs out.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very cozy and quiet. The room was clean and warm. Having the restaurant and bar next door was a huge bonus. The food and service was great also. The coffee maker and little fridge were a nice touch. Wolfgang puck coffee is good and the soap provided smelled great. Small amenities are important.

Facility is dated and needs significant upgrades. Parking area was rough. Bathroom sink needed new faucet.

The staff and housekeeping were very friendly and did an excellent job.

This place is cute, clean, and family owned. We were not sure what to expect from a roadside motel, and I can say we were pleasantly surprised. We were checked in by the owner, and the room was clean, bed comfy, it even had a fridge and microwave!

Windows that open so that a cross breeze of air could get in. Room was stuffy and required continually running the air conditioner and dehumidifier to keep a decent temp. Beds were also a little soft.

Convenient, quiet, adequate. Very clean, nice pillows, easy phone charger on the night stand. Able to do a late check-in.

The only downside is the lack of a reception area. We arrived late afternoon on a Friday night. We entered the bar/grill area and told the staff at the restaurant that we wanted to check into our room. We had to wait around 15 minutes for someone to arrive to give us the key to our room. If we arrived when the restaurant wasn’t open, I don’t know what our options would be. When we checked out, we didn’t know who to see, but simply left our key in the room.

The room was outstanding---just like previous reviews indicated. Price was reasonable, and the added benefit of the adjacent Mark III bar/grill (fresh, nicely prepared food for dinner) was a perk. Note that breakfast isn’t provided, but we enjoyed a great breakfast at Joe’s Café a short distance away from the inn. We will definitely return.

After a previous place we tried to stay was untolerable we scrambled to find a place to stay on a holiday weekend. We booked a room but later found out that they were full. They made accomodations for us in a small apartment that was very comfortable. Thankful for the way they went out of their way to help our situation.

The bed was a bit soft for my liking, but the room was clean and we got a good rate.

This is a 10 room roadside motel. I wasn't expecting much, but the room was recently renovated inside (not exactly sure how long ago). The manager/owner? was accomodating as our Booking confirmation never made it to him, but he had a room open for us anyway. Close to downtown St. Joes, but will certainly need a car to get there.

There rooms are small and there's not really a front desk. You have to go into the restaurant for service.

This was a nice place and off the beaten path. The room was exceptionally clean. Very comfortable beds. This was a great value compared to other places in the areas to stay at and is perfect for a quick weekend getaway if you just need a room for sleeping.

For a suite, the bedroom was small and so was the shower. 1 person could barely turn around. Only 1 towel available so we used one of our own as a back up. I am sure staff would have given a second if we requested so I can't really take away for that. Just noted. Also there isn't really an office of any kind that provides any service. You can call over to the adjoining restaurant/bar to find staff to help you but I feel things would be easier to take care of for both parties with a designated office space or lobby.

Superbly clean room. Half size fridge with freezer was nice to have if needed. All kitchen items one would need for a short stay were available and clean. Bathroom was very modern featuring a vanity mirror with a built in LED around it's rim. My partner was enamered by it. Beach was only a 7 minute drive away utilizing the thoroughfare that the Inn is situated on so that was also nice.

We were late arrival (9pm local), and had to pay by going into the attached restaurant. It was unorthodox, but not terrible. PS. The attached restaurant does not negatively affect your stay (we ate there twice ;))

Good location for the price, very close to St. Joe and Benton Harbor. My wife was skeptical when we arrived, but it was a very nice hotel and very clean. Don't let the outside fool you, its a great hotel.
