The owners were very friendly. It was very clean. Pillows were nice and fluffy. I did visit during the winter time, so the heater kept kicking on which dried up my nose a little.

The walls between the rooms were a little thin. I could hear a woman coughing at night, but it didn't really bother me.

Nice motel located at the entrance to Manitou Springs. The room had everything I needed - king size bed, fridge, microwave, and TV. I loved the old, historic ambience of this lodging and the price was very reasonable.

When we first walked in, it smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals but other than that, everything was clean and functional.

We loved how close it was to Garden of the Gods! Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City were just a drive away.

Says it's pet friendly, but it's not! Dogs are not allowed on the grass! We were yelled at, by the owners and told that dogs had to walk in another area that was just dirt and high weeds. The nice grassy lawn in front is off limits.

bed was quite hard, and pillows were flat and uncomfortable, carpet was pretty filthy, which made me not want to walk barefoot.

location is excellent, loved the old deep porclain tub, sheets were crisp and looked/felt new, mgmt was very friendly and accomodating! Free wi-fi.

The only thing that I did not like was that the walls were very thin, so we could hear not only the neighbor's kids, but also their tv. Additionally, the beds were pretty old and not the most comfy, but again, for the low price I can't complain.

The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, the rooms were clean and well-appointed. The Lodge is very well located, and the price is incredibly good for the location/service/etc. It says to keep typing but I have no additional feedback? Sorry.

The front desk man was very friendly. I suspect he owns it. I felt like it was a little too much money for what it was. The places old it is clean, but not as it was profiled on the website.

We did not eat breakfast. There we went out every day. I was surprised at the hotel was much older than I suspected from the website.

Breakfast was basic: coffee and danish, but it was enough to set us up for our journey.

We booked here based on the reviews and it was exactly what we wanted and expected. On first sight the furnishings looked old fashioned, but they were clean and comfortable. The staff member we spoke to was very helpful. It was very conveniently based for Pike's Peak. We enjoyed our stay here

I took a bath each morning I was there and the water was not very hot, which was a little disappointing. However, my boyfriend also took a bath and a shower in the evening and the water was much hotter.

Owners and staff were FANATASTIC! They were very accommodating, helpful, prompt, and friendly. We greatly appreciated all they did to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast items available were fresh and yummy as well.

There's traffic noise, mostly during commute hours. There are a few things to repair in the bathroom having to do with water pressure, but I was assured that it's on the schedule beginning in October, 2023.

I know that this goes against current trend, but I like a carpeted room. Our mattress was just about perfect and made for a good nights sleep. This is one of the last "mom and pop" motels, and I enjoyed the character and history of the place. The owner/manager is a great guy.

The was no place to put our toiletries! We used the back of the toilet tank & window sill. A couple small shelves or a shelf stand would have sufficed. There was no room to put them on the night stand because it was small. The people we traveled with had the same problem in their room. The outside door was filthy with paint worn off it.

Our room was clean & spacious with plenty of towels. The set up for the queen beds was roomy. Owners were nice.
