The Free WiFi is unsecured, so it's useless to me. No-one at the desk in Evansville, nor in Birmingham, AL could tell me if the paid WiFi was secure or not. They all seem to think that if you have a password (last name, room number) it's somehow secure. This is a problem for me and will effect my decision making going forward.

Breakfast was alright, what I expected. The beds in Marriotts are always great, and I always sleep well.

The room could have been cleaner. Found some evidence in the bathroom that the toilet had not been fully cleaned. I took care of it myself, but it did make me wonder what other details had been forgotten. Also found some mushed up candy under the coffee table/ottoman. Mattress in sofa bed looked well-worn and perhaps needing replaced soon.

The staff were great! There was an issue with a card at check-in, but they were able to figure it out right away and charge the correct amount. At breakfast, the woman working was fantastic at keeping things stocked and being VERY patient with our kids as they went through the line. The manager was walking through the lobby, checking in on everybody - I felt very attended to during our stay.

Our room lacked attention to detail in cleaning. There were hair clippings in the bathroom drawer, and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The bathroom tile grout was filthy. Also, In my mother’s room, the wardrobe mirror was shattered, but still hung to cover the closet. That did not seem safe to me.

The facility needs capital improvement and operational investment. The shower had mildew in the caulk, the room had a bulky ionizer that couldn’t cover up the musty odor. The room was very outdated. The breakfast area windows had spider webs and insects on the outside. A simple cleaning schedule would have the ground level exterior checked and cleaned on a routine basis. A moldy ceiling tile was located next to the reception area in a very visual location. The side door locking mechanism was loose.

Breakfast was fine and the location was off the highway which was great for my needs. Pet friendly. Very nice and responsive staff-good customer service.

One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was so the kids could enjoy the pool and my husband and I could enjoy the hottub. Both we closed by the health dept.. They offered us a pass to another hotel pool, but would have had to drive to it. The staff was prompt and attentive but unfriendly. Our room had a pull out bed for the kids. The mattress was super thin and had no linens. I had to call for linens, wait for them to be brought up, and make the bed myself. Not enough towels in the room for the 4 of us.

Our room wasn't very clean, the hot tub was broken, our pillows smelled like something was dead in them, (first night only), and the pool was too cold.

The fireplace and hot tub were both out of service, and the pool was in dire need for cleaning! Most importantly, my credit card was charged multiple times for purchases I am not aware of during our stay, and up to three days after! I attempted to rectify the matter, but it became worse. I contacted someone from booking.com and rather than refunding my money, an additional $300 was withdrawn from account! I'm still in the process of review to hopefully receive a refund!

The room was well furnished with a lot of extra amenities! The staff was very courteous and helpful.
