From the moment we arrived the staff were courteous and welcoming from the doorman to engineer who kindly came to help me. The reception staff could not do enough to help. Provided a kettle and sorted out airport transportation. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Roof top bar lovely. Pool area looked lovely and I was disappointed not to use it but we were there during the weekend of flooding and storms. I got regular texts from reception checking on my well-being and asking if they could do anything to make our stay better. Thank you to Omar, Paul and everyone else for a truly wonderful stay despite the poor weather.

They try to charge for everything - to open the pull out bed and prepare it for you they charge 100$… I told them thanks I’ll do it myself.

Nothing. The place is great. Just FYI. No ATM in lobby but one across the street. They have a mini bar and snacks in the room that are not free and expensive. They allow small dogs.

Everything was excellent. The hotel is beautiful. The staff is very nice. Got a glass of sparkling wine at check-in. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a pool, a couple of bars, and a restaurant. Walking distance to Grand Central. Had dinner and brunch. The food was very good. The hotel has a concierge to help with plans in the city. They allow dogs, too.

King Bed, large room, lots of closet space, loved the sitting area. Great size room for NYC standards.

Needed to run the water for a while to get hot water in shower & basins - not environmentally sound.

Rooftop pool was brilliant - bar service & food available. Doormen were great & sharp - full of chat and little gems of advice Check-in was busy, but quick and easy. Rooms were huge, quite unexpected for a city hotel. Great location - midtown on Park Avenue right near subway station. Rooms were a clean and housekeeping was wonderful.

Well the price… but it was a very short notice boocking die to a layover and it’s the US Open, so this was to expect. Beds were way too soft for us, but hey…

Not much really: If I’m being picky I had a package delivered and asked one of the reception staff to find it. He took my details and nothing happened. I asked again (different member of staff) two hours later and got it with no problems. The hotel advertises a sofa bed rate of an extra $100 per night if a guest is sleeping on it. This is steep considering that the sofa bed isn’t being made up by housekeeping each evening and put away each morning. I understand having an extra fee, and we booked knowing about it, but I was expecting top-level-twice-daily-sofa-bed-management for the fee paid. Breakfast service was a little haphazard. The quality of the food made up for it.

The location was great. 5 minutes walk to Madison Sq Park, Flatiron etc. The front desk and door staff were very welcoming on the whole. The room was clean and the a/c efficient. Breakfast wasn’t included but we ate there two mornings. Excellent blueberry muffins (made in-house? Very fresh). The pool was a great help as we were travelling with a child and some days were HOT!

Pool is tiny, pool area not very clean and no sun beds available ; sun beds also not in the sun in the afternoon. Staff is not always very friendly and when promised a text message as soon as the room is available that was not before 4pm anyway even though the promise was “should not take too long”

Staff at the pool area were not friendly, they could do with some additional four star hotel courtesy training. Loud rap music playing at pool area in the afternoon, which defeats the purpose of pool relaxation. The pool quickly gets crowded in the morning, but is otherwise quite nice and large for a NYC hotel pool, with a view to the Empire State.

Very spacious room and bathroom, well cleaned daily, good coffee pods, nice rooftop bar and pool area, great location next to line 6 metro on Park Ave.

The hotel seemed a little behind on maintenance. The rug on our hallway was bumpy and our outdoor space ( although a definite perk) had weeds growing in planters.

The front desk person upgraded our room and was very friendly. His name was Courtney. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the food in the lounge and restaurant was excellent.

I asked for sofa bed to be made up and reception told me it would cost E100 Pool area day passes got better priority then paying guests - hotel needs to address this for its guests

Clean and comfy rooms. Great bed The pool was a great bonus with our 3-year-old child and a great way to end the day before dinner. The staff in the desk were very kind and helpfull
