Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

UkraineThere was a large bathroom but only a shower stall, no bathtub. The room had no window to the street. Only a window to the inner room. Breakfast only from 8! And I had to leave work at that time, I was hungry. Once ordered an omelet with shrimp, they brought just an omelet. Forgot to say that the shrimp ran out and did not even offer a replacement.Cappuccino do not make, although the coffee machine allows. In the breakfast area there are only 2 tables(or sit at the bar, which is not very comfortable). This area is in the lobby, next to the bar. Or outside (But it is very cold there now) In the room did not work coffee machine, and except for coffee in the room there was no kettle and tea. ( I was helped out a couple of times at the bar and made coffee there).
Friendly staff at reception. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good set of cosmetics. Good breakfasts à la carte.

United Kingdom- They don't have enough staff: the receptionist also acts as waiter, porter and parking attendant. That can lead to massive delays. Management needs to have at least a 2nd person during breakfast - The parking: whilst it's great to have parking, there's a need for the receptionist to open the gate when going in and out. But as mentioned above, they do many things so it can lead to wait time

United StatesIt was a basic hotel. The best thing it offered was its price. Parking was a hassle as they had to let you in/out everytime. But it was cheaper than other hotels.
The hotel was serviceable. Great location. They were a bit stingy on the towels. I have no idea what the amenity fee Is for- there was nothing to offer.

South AfricaIt took quite a while for a large amount put on hold on my credit card for security to be released, but the hotel said it was due to my bank not being a US bank.
The best thing about this hotel is its very close location to Rodeo Drive. I was able to stay in the heart of Beverly Hills but for much less than the zooty hotels literally just around the corner. Yet I did not have to compromise on comfort. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
