Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesNo breakfast served at this location. Staff (check-in clerk) was a bit hard to understand due to accent -- but friendly! Towels were badly stained (needs to be washed with a bit of Clorox!). Stayed 2 nights, room not made up after first night. For the price, expected a bit higher class rooms and décor. Shocked at how much higher the weekend price was than during the week.

United StatesThe room smelled bad, the pillows were yellow the towels smelled bad and had stains on them. We asked for our money back and the manger said no. The air conditioner wasn’t working. The manager didn’t make it any better. We couldn’t stay there for 2 nights. We have pictures if needed. We will share them to anyone needed. We will also share with the app so no one stays here. Ice machine had mold. Oh and the website states they serve breakfast and they lied no breakfast was served. We couldn’t sit at the table in the room the chairs were stained.

United StatesRooms are falling apart, missing door handles and exposed wall sockets. All of the entrance doors to all rooms had 1 inch gaps on the bottom. The hotel staff are very rude and do not care to resolve any of the issues. When I asked about the issues the older lady snapped and told me that is the way it is. Then asked if I would be checking out because of the issues. I told her no because the charges were non refundable. Which made her even more angry and rude.

United StatesThe mirror was broken well shattered. There was rust and mold in the bathroom and sink. Patch work everywhere. Oh Lord the coffee pot let's just it need to be burnt. It was super rusted. It was just nasty and I wanted to get away for my birthday.
I didn't like any of it. First the key wouldn't work. I had to pull up on the handle instead of down.

United StatesMy daughter got locked into the restroom because the knob was broken. I asked the front desk if I could be near my family he flat out said no. The bath tub was disgusting and not cleaned at all. At checkout I noticed the “cleaners” just putting the same bed stuff back on the bed. No blankets were in their dirty laundry at all
