Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe room was a no smoking room but my room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. There was loud noises through the night. I had to have my keys re-set because the door wouldn't open. There is not enough parking space. The host barely spoke to me when I checked in.
The location was great. I was there for a trap tournament and it took me 10 minutes to get to the range.

United StatesMy husband is in a wheelchair and I asked for an accessable bathroom. The tub did not have a fold down seat. He had to sit on the side of the tub. Also his wheelchair could not enter the front door of the office as it had a lip that was too large for his power chair to access. He had to search for a way to get in. When he went to check out breakfast, he had trouble getting between the counter and the tables. If he had to check in by himself, he would have had to wander around the motel to try to find a way into the office. There was no signage for him to follow.
We did not eat breakfast. The room was extremely clean and I liked that the floors did not have carpet. The bed was very comfortable.

United StatesRoom always smelled like weed. Linens had cigarette burns all over them, in a nonsmoking room, even after asking for them to be changed. Shower dribbled water. The sink leaked all over the floor and drained slow. Drywall hanging from the bathroom ceiling. Construction was noisy just outside the door, starting at 7am everyday.
The staff was friendly.
