Visitors should read the information provided on booking.com and the owners. All bedrooms are located upstairs and the bathrooms are small because this is a former girls' dormitory. If you have physical infirmities this might not be the place for you. For us, this did not take away from all of the positives.

The owners, Su and Mike, could not have been more attentive and helpful. The breakfasts were outstanding as was all of the different coffees provided. A very quaint, cozy and traditional bed and breakfast. We would definitely return.

The town of Burnsville is quite small and does not have many dining options! This is no reflection on Terrell House whatsoever.

The hosts Mike and Sue were wonderful! The house was spotless! It was very peaceful and relaxing to stay there. Beautifully decorated and loved the history of the home! Breakfast was delicious both mornings!

If I had to say something to improve, hmmm; perhaps a stair runner or new carpeting on the stairs going up to the bedrooms. I can see it is aged.

The breakfast was excellent. I enjoyed the other guest’s company. I think what really made the stay memorable, (aside from the peaceful mountain setting), was the hostess, Sue. I could tell she genuinely enjoys serving people and making sure they are comfortable and content. She always had a radiant smile and had kindness in her eyes. I observed her when she served breakfast, and she made certain everyone was welcomed and enjoying themselves. There was an energy in the air that just felt so warm, peaceful, relaxing, and happy.

There wasn't anything that I was unhappy about. It did exactly what I needed.

Sadly, I needed to leave so early to hike that I didn't get a chance to enjoy the full breakfast with the rest of the house - but the hosts were so kind and left out fresh fruit and breakfast snacks for me. The home was so well-appointed and welcoming and the room and adjoining bathroom were just perfect. As a woman traveling solo overnight, I wanted a safe place that had amenities and breakfast and the hosts made me feel right at home.

I liked everything. Just a heads up that rooms are small, but there are two large and comfortable common rooms where you can hang out, read from the library, watch tv, play board games, etc.

What a beautiful spot and lovely old building. I spent a fair amount of time out on the patio overlooking the gorgeous garden. So relaxing. The hosts are lovely, welcoming people. Breakfast was to die for. Air conditioning controls in each room keep things nice and cool and the hosts have a mini fridge with chilled drinks and sodas that you can grab whenever.
