Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This hotel is nothing short of amazing! The staff here are experts in customer service! There wasn’t anything we wanted that wasn’t provided! It’s the attention to details for me! The location is convenient being close to the river walk. The Langham Club outshines other hotels with club access offering all day refreshments and fantastic views. I’ve been to some hotels where the clubs close between meals or have limited options on the weekends. Not here! Did I mention the breakfast omelette station! Delish! Then there’s the private cinema suite and the pool! I didn’t want to leave! This is my new standard that all 5–star hotels have to meet to compete for my patronage!

United StatesLong wait to check in … very long wait to get a duplicate key. No room service past midnight. No house car. No key required to get to guest floors anyone can walk up. Overall, this is a very decent hotel but far from five stars I would say it’s comparable to the Lowe’s or LondonHouse. I stay in five star hotels in Chicago 30+ nights a year normally the Four seasons I will say other than the front door staff this hotel does not meet the standards in any category compared to any other five star hotel in the city. Waldorf Ritz Trump St Regis Park Hyatt Fourseasons all much much much better!
Front door staff is the best in the city. They immediately make you feel welcome and the blue suits give a great old school Chicago vibe. Great pillow menu with sleep machine available. Bathroom was nice. Size and view from the Riverview suite were good.

AustraliaOur overall stay at the Langham was good. We arrived after a 16-hour flight from Australia and were exhausted, with all due honesty all we expected was to shower and be able to rest promptly, however this was limited by a delay during our check in, as the room was not ready. We waited for about half an hour. Hotel staff quickly attended to this and provided us with a card to access their club lounge while we waited.
