Kitchen closed early on a night we were depending on them for dinner. Hostess at Watch taking a personal phone call for many minutes with people waiting to be seated. These things marred a perfect stay.

Clean, excellent housekeeping and front desk staff, thoughtful and thorough.

There wasn't much to dislike. I would have liked some sort of night light, very dark without leaving a light on. Unfortunately, the hall light was too bright (even on dimmest setting) and bathroom was also too bright (even with glass door closed).

Interesting hotel! Loved it. We booked king with small kitchen. The decor was amazing. Check was prompt and personable. So many sweet touches! A wicker basket every morning filled with delicious blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, egg fratada, vegtable juices, croissants! Refrigerator filled with freash water and other complimentary drinks. Wooden boxes of yummy snacks and cocktails if you so choose (for purchase). Convenient rooftop bar and restaurant overlooking city, as well as a rooftop heated mini pool. Cozy bathrobes to boot! Coffee shop right across from the lush tropical entrance hall A beautiful library with fireplace is great meeting place.

A/C out in my room. 9 am until I finally went to front desk at 3 pm. Had spent the time in 78 degree room. Finally after returning from rehearsal dinner it was fixed.

    Location and staff.

Would of enjoyed quiche or baked goods in breakfast basket that could be warmed in microwave.

Staff members including Ethan were extremely friendly and helpful. Even though I am reluctant to use valet parking, your staff made me feel at ease. The hotel is at a great location.

I was a bit underwhelmed by the supplied breakfast, we were promised a continental style breakfast delivered to our room. This came in a nice basket which contained 2 hot breakfast buns (egg, sausage pattie, cheese, 1 didn't have a sausage pattie) and some blackberries and unripe strawberries, so a tad disappointing.

I liked the hotel, the staff were super friendly and check-in was quick. It was a great room with all the facilities required. It was also in a great location. Valet parking was efficient. There was a snack and mini bar which was a bonus.

There was poor communication between booking.com and the hotel and although we thought we were booking for 3 to stay (us and our son) - the hotel was not aware of this. I am not sure where the disconnect was but would suggest you clarify suitable bed arrangements if you find yourself in a similar situation. We needed (an uncomfortable) roll-away bed to be brought to the room for our son. The main bed was comfortable. his was not and we had to remind them to keep bringing an extra towel.

Great central location for strolling around the town and taking in the sights without being located right in the middle of the tourist attractions. cafe and restaurant are very good - as are nearby offerings. pool is small but suitable. staff were friendly and accessible and responsive.

    Nothing it’s was amazing.

Staff was amazing, extremely friendly and gave us many recommendations. Would say was the best place we’ve stayed at. Hotel was clean, they had many little touches that were appreciated from the warm cookies at night, to the picnic basket with breakfast in the morning. The staff was just top notch everyday.

The only negative about our stay is that we could hear the people above us walking/running around quite loudly, which made going to sleep a bit challenging. I think there might have been kids staying above us because it sounded like someone was running nonstop. We didn't mention this to the staff, just kind of toughed it out.

We had an excellent stay at the Restoration. It is a super cute boutique hotel with a rooftop restaurant, coffee shop, and small pool area. The room we selected was more like an apartment and it was absolutely stunning. The location was the best part, being able to walk everywhere we wanted to go on King Street and beyond. The hotel also offers rides with their onsite Jeep Wrangler to bring you anywhere in downtown Charleston, which was a nice bonus. Lastly, the thing I most looked forward to each morning was the morning breakfast basket that was left outside our door each morning with a bunch of breakfast treats! The service was also outstanding! :)

A picnic basket of breakfast food was delivered each day we stayed (different on each day and included fresh fruit). The front desk was very friendly and walked us to our room (as there are rooms across different buildings) on arrival. They addressed the problems we raised (slow draining shower, bedside table charging stations inoperable) quickly. The "included" free cold drinks were a nice touch. (more than we consumed). Social hour where we could mingle and grab a glass of wine and partake of a cheese/charcuterie board. Cafe integrated into hotel (easy access).

Satisfactory, a good location in a comfortable hotel with quality finishes

I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a proper lobby. There was a walkway between the lobby where you checked in (which had no seating) and the library. The walkway took you to the lifts to the rooms as well as a rooftop restaurant. The restaurant was popular and the lifts often busy with dinner or lunch guests. The library on the other side was beautiful with a gorgeous fireplace but felt detached and the seating was limited. For example, when getting a coffee from the coffee-shop attached to the hotel in the morning, there was no seating available. Breakfast was delivered in the basket each morning and left outside the door. It is a cute idea but there wasn't much in the basket that we would eat and we had to make our own coffee.

The location was great. The quality of the rooms and all of the finishes everywhere were top notch. The attention to detail was impressive. For example, the full size mirrors were in the shape of a nearby church window with the frames painted in indigo. Of course, indigo was the primary cash crop that created Charlotte's wealth. Lots of little details everywhere. The room we stayed in was comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, towels soft and thick. Fridge was well stocked with sodas and juice (included in the price).

We had to leave. There is no overhead to the private patio and it rained the day before leaving all the seats soaked we could not make use of this and this is what we wanted.

The room was perfect. There was souch to do inside. It is perfectly located. The free courtesy ride we were not expecting but came in handy.
