This architecturally unique guesthouse is beautifully designed, with rare attention to detail. My king suite was comfortable, welcoming and lovely. The use of color, the artwork, even the music playing in the public space, serve to create a sense of special. Not to mention the thoughtful array of toiletries and snacks. John, the owner, is a fine host and a fount of information about local restaurants and sights.

This small boutique property has been lovingly built by the owner to offer a very unique, comfortable and welcoming accomodation option close to downtown Raleigh. It was a haven for a night in a busy schedule and John was so helpful and friendly, providing exceptional advice on restaurants and coffee shops in the gorgeous historical neighbourhood.

The store was in a prefect location to walk to many area restaurants. And the Host was great at give us recommendations. Loved staying there.

Only down side is that you can't lock the room door from the outside. So we took all of our valuables with us whenever we went outside

Everything was very clean, John the host is super friendly and happy to give recommendations for everything. The house is beautiful and so stylish! The bed was comfortable the room very large and from phone chargers to different bathroom products everything was provided. It is a short walk to all the restaurants and pubs and bars. Only down side is that you can't lock the room door from the outside. So we took all of our valuables with us whenever we went outside.

Only downfall was the bathroom not being attached to the room but with only 2 accommodations available, we didn’t have any unwanted run ins when crossing the hall. This was expected and were aware when we booked. Even with that said, we’d stay again in a heartbeat

John was an extremely accommodating host! He gave tons of recommendations and made the stay comfortable. The property itself is so lovely and inviting. We spent some time in the common area which was relaxing. 10/10 would stay again

Elegant and beautifully restored historic building with lovely modern architectural features inside. Well-appointed room. Comfortable bed and everything we could possibly need was available in the room and bath. The host was friendly, accommodating and quite accessible. he gave us lots of good tips for visiting the city. We felt quite pampered. highly recommended!

The host was very nice and welcoming. He really thought of everything. If you forgot something, dont worry, as he will have it covered! When you walk in your instantly hit by the beautiful space / design. The bedroom was perfect and the bed was super comfy. Great location!

Our host was exceptional, his taste for décor and his attention to detail were absolutely outstanding. He took the time to show us in detail what Raleigh had to offer and made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. I cannot recommend the Store enough.

Everything was amazing. The Store has a lot of character and the host, John, goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need / want. He’s also very knowledgeable on the Raleigh nightlife!

The downstairs inside is a piece of art, but that means there is very little comfortable seating downstairs.

John is extremely hospitable and knowledgeable of the city. The store is a niche stay near a beautiful public park and is a walkable distance from downtown Raleigh.

I loved everything about it but the bed was too soft for me(Goldilocks moment). I prefer sleeping on a hard mattress so the thick memory foam pillow top was not my favorite---but for someone who prefers this bed style you will love it!

Terrific location in walking distance to an emerging and bustling neighborhood just a mile from city center in Raleigh. The home is in a lovely old neighborhood. The Store was a beautiful building old building that has had interiors completed redesigned and is well decorated and clean! There were extra amenities, drinks and snacks at every turn. The owner/proprietor had great suggestions for local restaurants(and he was 100% on target for the ones I tried!) and was easy to communicate with and readily available.

The Store was amazing. It had history and was in a great location. John, the owner was absolutely wonderful and gave great recommendations. He is the architect that designed this gem. It was beyond aesthetically pleasing with an artistic cool vibe. The bed was super comfortable and my bath was perfect. I will be back and recommend to anyone going Raleigh.
