How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Our door battery died and instead of fixing it immediately they sent staff to let us in the room and it was inconvenient we had to keep opening the door for one another instead of using the key which meant one of us had to stay in the room!
Close proximity to Activities like the Aquarium is next door, The restaurant in the hotel had good food, loved that they had an elevator, offered discounts on activities. Great value for the price.

The parking was awful.
The location was very conveniently located to everything. The restaurant in the lower lobby was good. It was perfect for what we needed

The walls are paper thin. There was a family in the hall outside our room shouting and cussing and screaming at their children for a solid 90 minutes at 1 am. If you have to have sleep/get up early to commute home, I highly recommend ear plugs or stay somewhere else. Other than the walls being paper thin, I can't say enough good things about this place. The parking lot is extremely sloped and is difficult to walk on if you are injured or have sensory issues with steep inclines. The back parking lot is not bad at all. Over all, it's a lovely hotel and worth a visit.
For the price, the rooms are a great value. Very clean, beds are decent, very good water pressure, it's a very nice room for the price

Friendly and professional staff who helped us find attractions that suited us. There was a problem when we checked in and the staff solved the issue quickly. The location was perfect and the price was a great value.

I did not like the size of the pool, for a huge hotel like this one the pool should have been way bigger. The ice machine was broken our entire stay. Restaurant downstairs sold us chicken that was undercooked and still bleeding. Fries were okay but not worth the price. I'd say come prepared with your own bedding and spray your beds. The hotel could use some overall updates, but met the needs for our dance trip.
I loved how well the staff accommodated us in the middle of the night when problems came about with our room. Although our view had changed our baby girl still enjoyed herself. I loved that we were able to get accommodations for our checkout time. (These should be later times, I like to sleep in on vacation) I loved how we could just walk to the Aquarium and Dairy Queen. The clean up crew was efficient and friendly.

Breakfast buffet should be included in the room cost. During our stay , there was a fire alarm that caused us to evacuate the building from the 8th floor using the stairs, and then no one gave us the all clear.
Breakfast is good, but it costs extra. Hot tub helped after a day at Silver Dollar City. The staff was friendly.

Not enough handicap parking places. If you get in past dark you never get a close parking place and it is not easy to walk up the hills with a disability.

Not a fan of the shower, very uncomfortable. But the room was still nice.
The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing 👏 🤩 And the bed we wanted to take home it was super comfortable.

You can tell that the property has changed owners. The first time I ever stayed at the hotel the furniture was up to date and more luxury. Now it has old bedding and furniture.

Restaurant rating was "thumbs" down Just FYI. In room 349. The shower curtain pulled to center - hard to cover the area Result - water in floor.
