Beds were so-so.

The view was wonderful. Very clean. Host was exceptional, easy to reach and communicate with. Thoughtful host left creamer, coffee, snacks and wine. Great location to stay if you are visiting the Redwoods. The home is close to a nice grocery, gas and restaurants. The host gave great recommendations for places to eat, menus were provided at the home. The host also provided a lantern and flashlight when there was a power outage. The host quickly communicated once the electric company restored power. Good WiFi too! There is a flight of stairs to reach the actual living area, but that was fine for us as we have no issue climbing stairs. Once you climb the stairs and enter living area you realize how wonderful the view is of the Pacific Ocean. Highly reccomend!

Loved the views and how clean the place was. The hosts were absolutely amazing and were so welcoming! We got to see some whales from the deck. The property is very well kept. There was a dreamy amount of flowers surrounding the property. The instructions were easy to follow for checking in and checking out. What a perfect place to spend some time on the coast. The views from the property overlooking the Pacific and the garden are just spectacular. The property is located near redwood forests [15-30 min drive] and there are many trails of varying levels of difficulty and length - great for hiking and seeing these magnificent trees. Trinadad - the small town a couple of miles down the road - has a great small town vibe and has some great dining. Overall highly recommended.

When I initially booked this property, I did not deduce from the property description, photos, or reviews that this rental is more like an AirBnB in the sense that it is an apartment over the garage of someone's home. I assumed that "guest house" meant an actual private house rental. Beyond that, no real complaints. Gave the owner some minor maintenance issues to address but nothing that materially impacted our stay and they were appreciative.

Quiet block, exceptional sunset and coastal views, pretty landscaping, spacious apartment, clean, great communication by owners. The apartment was plenty roomy for the two of us and well equipped, if a tad dated. Beds were super comfy and WiFi worked well.

The stairs, and I never figured out how to lock the bottom entrance door. The stairs could be a deal breaker to some folks, as they need to be emphasized. Put the directions to lock the bottom entrance door, on the door by the lock-don't make people look around.

The rental was very comfortable and nicely supplied, well thought out hands down! There wasn't anything I needed I didn't have. The beds were made perfect and we slept well. I will be recommending this rental to others.

Unfortunately, Wifi was very bad and a big concern. Even when connected, we could not get internet service during our entire vacation unless we were in the car and driving. Because we were unable to call or reach our families when at the property gave us a bit of anxiety plus not having the ability to reach the owner during an emergency or to identify an issue was one of my biggest dislikes.

The property was a bit dated yet well-maintained, very clean, spacious, and met our needs. We were in awe of the location, the view, and the close proximity of the property to drive to our various destinations.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Spectacular ocean view, perfect at sunset. Spacious and very comfortable apartment with balcony overlooking the ocean. Gracious host who was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We were looking for something that was a short drive from beaches or redwood hiking trails and were delighted to find this rental.
