It wasn’t very upscale. I expected more from a W. We came back from a fun night out to get a drink at the bar & the music was loud & the crowd smelled of weed.

Staff was excellent! Room view was amazing! Overall a wonderful stay close to CTA stops and Michigan Ave shopping/dining. Onsite restaurant was great and the pool was decent-sized with a wonderful view.

Paying for WiFi is very unusal for a hotel of this standard. You effectively have to join the rewards programme to get free Wifi. Location is right on Lakeshore Drive, but be aware that it is not that close to a train station (which can be a little annoying when you're coming from the Airport). However, with Chicago that can often be the case and you can get over that for the views.

Very nice hotel, exactly as appears in the pictures. The gym was a great bonus, as was the free coffee at reception in the morning (there are no machines in the room). Checking in and out was so easy and pleasant. The view from our room was amazing.

Noisy during night, difficult to sleep. No coffee maker or refrigerator in room. Valet parking very expensive.

It was my first time in Chicago, so I chose the city view assuming I would have a view like NYC. Unfortunately, the neighboring buildings are not much of a view because you're looking at residential buildings. Next time I'll stay on the river view side. I requested no room service, but was disturbed out of my sleep, by room service, the day before checking out because my reservation was marked as check out. The issue was quickly resolved; but I hope this does not happen to me or anyone else in the future. I found it odd that the panel where the refrigerator is stored was nailed shut. Not sure if that was due to COVID, but it would be nice if stay again to have access.

The location is conveniently located near food, target and since the city is small its not hard to walk or take a quick cab to anywhere. The complimentary water and bottle fillers were great, so I could stay hydrated and didn't have to go shopping on my own. The spicy margarita and the fries were good! I believe the same DJ played Friday night and Saturday night...good music!

The only thing is that my room was richt next to the elevator, so we could heard the elevator going up and down like it was in the room.

Waitingtimes for the Elevator where ridicoulus and you weren't able to use the staircase.. Would be nice to either have bathrobes in the room or a place to change at the pool

The room itself was great had a nice view on the Navypear Firework and it was really comfortable. Fitnessroom was well equipped and clean.

There was no mini fridge which was a first for us - we couldn’t keep drinks cool. The biggest issue we had was the mattress and pillows were quite uncomfortable.

The location was unbeatable. The staff were very friendly and the kids loved the pool and gym facilities.

There was not a coffee maker or mini refrigerator in the room. It seems the hotel has been revamped in the common areas but no the room. Also, when coming back in at night it felt like you were walking into a club. The music was super loud.

I thought parking was overpriced. $80 a day is excessive. When parking down the street, is only $40 a day.

I'm a very light sleeper and although my room was two rooms away from the lifts the noise from the lifts was excessively loud in my bedroom, making it difficult to sleep. The bathroom was getting quite tired and needs a refresh. Not many amenities in the room. No bar fridge or kettle or coffee. No shower caps or other little items you might expect in the bathroom. The bare minimum.

Good location for central Chicago - felt safe and lots of great things easily accessible. The lake view rooms have a great outlook. Very comfortable bed and lovely shampoos and body washes. Nice service/friendly staff.
