Carpets should really be removed from the rooms since it can get dusty and funky smelling. I had a few awkward interactions with reception when I call to enquire or reserve something and the staff does not speak English, they would just hangup on you!

The location was great for my travel needs. The breakfast buffet choices were great. Overall good experience.

We chose this as a nice hotel for Christmas being away from home out of our budget but it is not luxury and we were disappointed. The rooms and style are very outdated. For a 4 star 'luxury' hotel I would expect at least one member at reception to speak English, it was very difficult for questions quite frequently. Breakfast doesn't really cater for a western breakfast. It's a good bit from old town, not walkable. There's a mall near and very few restaurants. It's very overpriced for what you get.

The lobby is gorgeous, the room was nice and was always clean. The bathroom was lovely with free toiletries and always hot water. We loved the option of the bath too. They also cleaned every day. There is a big display for breakfast and never ran out of the options.

We asked for all 3 rooms to be on the same floor so my parents, my children and my husband and I could be close and when we checked in you separated us all on different floors. The rooms we were allocated smelt very heavily of cigarette smoke and we asked to move. Then you found us all three rooms on the same floor no problem, but you did not do that when we first asked and checked in. My room had a very lumpy mattress and the bathtub was leaking The staff where not friendly, did not engage with us, were not helpful in any way. The breakfast variety was poor and the food was cold! If you are offering breakfast from 6am to 10am the food needs to be topped up and hot throughout that whole time. We arrived for breakfast at 9am and everything was cold. The indoor swimming pool was not heated and this was not made clear at all in the description. A "luxury" hotel should have a heated indoor swimming pool. On the last night my daughter and I were very sick. We both vomited. I called room service and asked for cleaning products so we can clean it up ourselves instead of asking you to do it. The night staff were not happy, no body came for ages, because he could not understand English he did not bring the right cleaning materials. So while i was sick, I had to use my OWN towel to clean the vomit. I called again asking for more toilet rolls. We used ours up because we had diarrhea but nobody ever came! Our normal checkout time on Saturday was normal but we were leaving early to get our flight home. You collected our bags at 7am, our airport transfer was booked for 7:45am but at 7:30am, Reception called me and told me to leave the room or we would charge us an extra day! It was not even check-out time. Then we came down at 7:30 to wait for our airport transfer for our international flight back and instead of 7:45 it never came. We received excuses saying it was on its way, then it was late because of traffic, then our 16 seater bus could not come because it...

The bathroom bathtub was leaking and flooding the bathroom floor every time we took a shower. We advised the reception about the issue, but nothing was done. This presents a hazard as the person can slip and fall with the amount of water on the floor. There was a nail in my fried rice on the first night of our stay at the hotel. I happened to see it by chance and reported it to the waitress on duty at the time and the dinner was replaced. The carpet in the room was very worn and dull and looked like it was never shampooed and cleaned properly as there were stains on the carpet when we arrived. At 10pm every night there was banging from the floor above our room which went on for 10 to 15 mins and made falling asleep very difficult.

The atmosphere present from the moment you walk in is calming and enriching. Decoration and design gives a lovely sense of class, coupled with the fantastic staff and hotel's facilities. It's an absolutely wonderful stay!!!
