Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaI booked 2 nights to spend my birthday and I didn't receive any discount or at least a small attention. I work in a 4 star hotel and we always give a bottle of wine with cake or cheese plate as an attention(the guest can choose). It was a little bit disappointing coming from a 5 star hotel, but I understand is not staff fault, maybe it can be a good thing to improve :)
All was great! Nice staff and comfortable bed

AustraliaThe menu could do with a little bit of a change up but if you aren't staying longer than 6 days than you would get enough variety I think.
Closely located to the airport, the hotel itself was very quiet which was a selling point to us before we were heading into town. The staff were all so welcoming. We had 2 rooms booked (2 adults with 4 kids 7,5,3,3) and they were side by side but also large enough that we could all sleep in 1 room or alternate. The aircon in the rooms were set perfectly aswell, normally at any hotel we stay at, it always upsets our sinuses but these rooms were great. Ground Floor level was awesome too especially with kids and the accessibility to just walk out to the pool or beach.

AustraliaWe had bad advice from the staff about rebooking for end of trip stay. I tried to book through reception and they said “just book online”. This resulted on an mis-booking of dates online and inability to correct because of bad internet service on the island. The resort manager was uncompromising on a refund for the incorrect night (because my cancelation didn’t completely go through), so we ended up paying twice for one night even though the resort was clearly under booked and didn’t need the room for other guests. Money grabbing in low season really.
Close to airport and ferry - good for arrivals and departures at odd times. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Most staff were friendly. Children LOVE the wifi.

New ZealandThe location and the area is located. We tried to see what other attractions and sights there were and there wasn’t much in the area.
Staff were friendly and accomodating! The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It was a nice accomodation to be ending our holiday.

AustraliaI loved everything, just be aware that there is another hotel tax charge you’ll pay on top of the total amount on booking. Not a big deal but good to know 😊

AustraliaThe room needs flyscreen door to allow better ventilation because the room smelt mouldy N when asked to change to another room, the replacement one was worse. The mouldy room caused all my clothes in the wardrobe to feel damp. The Tour operator of the hotel wasn’t clear of the details in the itinerary. A lot was omitted because they were not with their communication
Food was excellent. Most of the staff very helpful ´ friendly N happy. Outside garden well manicured n clean. We enjoyed the gym n the free bottle water. Also the ocean view from my room was exceptional.

AustraliaBeds were small, I would have thought at least a queen size bed or a very large double bed? The beds were definitely smaller than other resorts we stayed at for less. Prices for food and drinks are definitely a shock to the system and given the portion sizes the cost of food should be reduced. There are no shops close by to offer any other option unless you have a car to drive out to Apia or the next town over. There should also be a disclaimer about letting guests know if they are staying upstairs. Especially since they don’t have lifts, it is very difficult carrying heavy suitcases up the stairs when the porter was not available.
Rooms were very clean, breakfast buffet was great, staff were friendly and the resort overall was well kept by the staff, including the pool being cleaned daily. Food was good, very expensive though.

New Zealandreturning to our room one night to find out there is no water. would've been okay if we were notified earlier. Just lack of communication but staff were very apologetic and tried to help. Water managed to come back on after a couple of hours.
Staff are lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Buffet breakfast was delicious - we had to leave early a few mornings so I was happy when they said we could do take away plates which was great and ready by 5.45am. Beds were comfortable, rooms were always cleaned every morning and well stocked. Location was perfect just a 5 minute drive from the airport.

New ZealandThe entrance needs a lot of working on. It doesn’t look like you’re entering into a resort and the a sign needs to be put up for the name of the hotel. Staff need to be present upon arrival, complimentary drinks that are part of the package were not given until I asked at front desk. Rooms weren’t ready when we arrived and we arrived well ahead of check in time notes. Limited staff so had to wait to be taken to rooms and helped with luggage

New ZealandLots of stairs and walkways, but if you're wheelchair-bound or have physical difficulties, you may have trouble moving yourself or your luggage around (but I'd assume they'd place you on a room that's ground-floor, so that can easily be solved. Not to mention - if you need help, you can ask the staff for an extra pair of hands). So honestly, no real cons.
The location was amazing - about a 5 minute drive from Faleolo Airport, and a minute drive to Mulifanua Wharf (if you're going to Savai'i). The premises was clean and serviced daily, staff were very helpful and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was genuinely amazing - so much variety for anyone and everyone. WiFi was free/complimentary and part of the booking, which we needed as we didn't have our Travel SIM at the time (and is also quite speedy as well!)

AustraliaThe rooms are tired and not cleaned with daily service. Linens and towels changed after 3 days which is fine. We were put in a king room with an adjoining room. Could hear everything from next door and extremely annoying when they kept putting in airline staff who arrive early morning and leave at 3am. Don’t understand why you wouldn’t put them in a block away from guests who pay to have a relaxing holiday. Did eventually move to a room without an adjoining door which was much better but the sheets were dirty. The hotel is 5 mins from the airport but a long way from Apia and even further to the sights so a car is a must.
The grounds, pool, beach are amazing. The set up for eating in 3 locations great. Buffet breakfast was awesome. Quiet, pretty, most enjoyable. Staff all very helpful and friendly and welcoming. Shout out to the beautiful Lofi and Imoa. The pool and beach are stunning and so nice when you don’t have airline staff with their music blaring. Fia Fia dinner and show was great. Wonderful aircon because it is very hot. Don’t forget the reef shoes, bug spray and camera. We will be back but after the renovations.

New ZealandThe only MINOR let down were some of the facilities not running - BUT that didn’t stop us from having a great stay.
Location was great, right by the airport but nice enough distance away from the business of town - a scenic drive to town through the villages was a great way to be able to soak up the culture and island life. The staff were absolutely amazing and always so willing to help, any issues we had or questions - they were right there ready to help and answer.

New ZealandWhile the bed in the room is nice, the couch and chairs are not particularly comfortable, so don't expect to spend too much time in there. Slow to respond to messages through Booking.com when we first booked. My final meal was not added to our room before we checked out, so we had to pay this later, which was not convenient.
Beautiful location, picturesque beachfront for guests, and great pool complex. Staff are all very friendly, and helpful in arranging transports, activities etc. Special acknowledgement of it being our honeymoon made it extra special. The rooms were well maintained and clean, cooled. The food menu is decent, and there are a decent mix of cocktails and drinks available. Very peaceful and quiet location, far from the city and more populated part of the island, and a very short trip from the airport.
