the breakfast was very disappointing - had we known in advance that "continental" breakfast (croissant and toast with ham and cheese) was only available we would have gone out for breakfast/brunch. I did feel sorry for our hostess as her husband recently passed away, it must be difficult for her. I would however recommend the guest house and say don't have breakfast!

I would have liked a hot breakfast but we had a continental breakfast served. Some cereal, toast with jam and cheese and some hot tea which went down well. Other than that it was really good.

The room was clean, homely and extremely comfortable. Little things like having sugar coffee and milk in the room and shower gel and hand soap, brochures and restaurant guides, right down to the welcome mat outside the door was greatly appreciated. Secure parking too. Beautiful place and good value for money.

Because of the time spent indoors due to weather, I would have liked a bigger TV. Bigger room. Personally I feel the furnishing is a bit dated. (But if you just want to sleep over it is good enough.)

I had booked the upper room with balcony via Booking.com, but ended up in a downstairs room. Possibly a blessing in disguise as it would most certainly have been warmer up top.....

The host Paul was very attentive and the lush garden was impressive. The rescue Daschunds were simply marvelous. Great breakfast! Got in my full quota of fruit, carbs, fat, protein, eggs, dairy. The room fan was adequate in keeping a cool sleeping environment after a scorcher 41 degree day.

The room had a strong smell - either of detergent or a mustiness (proberly needed to be aired out). The towels also had an unpleasant smell to them - not dirty but strong chemical smell that rubbed off on you. The pillows in our room were a bit flat and hard and the linen was a bit coarse. The property also does not mention the eight sausage dogs.

The breakfast was good and the host, Paul, was very friendly and goes the extra mile to assist and the bed is nice and firm. The pool was also a big plus since it can be quite hot in Robertson. Thank you Paul for your hospitality!
