In the room there were nice amenities like a bath robe, fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. The breakfast was exceptional with the greatest variety you can imagine. We are asked already before check- in if they could help us with a reservation for dinner. The recommendation for the restaurant was fantastic.

The hosts were great, they gave us lots of great recommendations. We had by far the best breakfast of our 14-day trip to South Africa. We will definitely be back, next time for longer. The rooms were beautifully furnished and everything was very clean. We even got a free room upgrade.

Stay 18.2.-20.02.24 Elizma is a nice and attentive host. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and if you want to spend your stay in a historic Cape Dutch guesthouse, this is the place for you. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely book with Elizma again when we stop in Hermanus. Eckhard & Maria Germany

Generators are a little nousy in load shedding times, but not the hosts fault.

Amazing staff; hosts had been very helpful with tips for restaurants and exerperiences around the town. Great breakfast. The cottage which was recently renovavated is not just beautiful but has a nice old fashioned flair. I can defintely recommend staying here!

It was perfect.

The host, Elizma, is fantastic. She couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home. We are travelling with our 9 month old and, not only did she provide all the extras that we needed, she was SO accommodating at every step. We can’t thank her enough. The cottage itself is set in stunning grounds and right on the cliff path. The gardens are stunning and over some nice respite. The breakfast options are incredible. From fry ups, to fresh fruits, to local pastries. You won’t go wanting.

The only thing that we would have liked were some chairs in the room.

The couple who managed the property were lovely. They even drove around looking for us after we left our wash bag! The room was very clean and well decorated. Great location. The breakfast had an amazing choice of foods and it was good to sit with the other guests and chat.

It was a wonderful time there. Elizma and her family spoil their guests. The breakfast is gigantic, very tasty and everything is freshly prepared. Nothing I can think of. Possibly only thing would be to have some brochures and maps of things to do and see around Hermanus area.

Lovely well equipped accommodation, plenty of room for private space, well located to town centre and some outstanding restaurants (in walking distance), and adjacent to the well known cliff walk which is really something to do. Quiet neighbourhood and easy access onto main routes into and out of town. Elizma and Johan were outstanding hosts. Breakfasts were not only delicious but HUGE (will see you well past lunch time). Highly recommended.

The best breakfast in all our travels in South Africa and we have travelled a lot! Nice garden with secure parking places. In walking distance to all of the restaurants in the old harbour part of town. Safe walking in the evening.

There was nothing left to wish for.

The place felt like staying with family, everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. The owner reserved us tables for dinner in local restaurants each night, knowing it would be busy. The breakfast on offer was outstanding.
