The drywallling between the rooms and wooden floors, is not sound proof and does not give you privacy, it also does not block out noises from rooms next door.

It was perfect for the reason of our visit. The staff were excellent specially staying up late with us while we waited for our luggage to arrive. They were friendly too. I felt safe and the breakfast was good.

The lodge was in a great location in a lovely part of constantia. Breakfast was delicious and I loved eating outside in the courtyard with the beautiful mountain view. As a solo traveller I also felt safe.

The property is situated in a beautiful part of Constantia. It was very safe and the room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The staff were very friendly and professional, especially the manager, who went out of her way to ensure we were going to be able to get to the airport during the Two Oceans race which meant road closures.

Others had a bigger room but there was no aircon in the rooms and these rooms were quite warm. There was a ceiling fan though.

Constantia is a beautiful part of Cape Town. The houses in the area a big. The Guesthouse also has quite a few room which are spacious. I had a room on the bottom floor which was nice and cool in the evening. My room looked like it didn't have a bathroom but it was 'hidden' behind cabinet doors

Breakfast was average. Hot breakfast was over-seasoned. Very salty on the savoury items and even the pancakes were smothered in cinnamon. Easy fix, just with a bit of training ;-)

The room was luxurious, spacious and quiet. Perfect for getting away from the city in the leafy suburbs. I went for walks, the Alphen trail is particularly beautiful. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast - beautiful homemade fruit salad followed by perfectly cooked poached eggs and bacon. Delicious!

The bar was very handy, stocked with wine and water. The choice of spirits was lacking. The dressing table chair needed attention (cleaning and upholstering).

We really enjoyed staying at the guest lodge. Bev and her team were so lovely and welcoming. The bedroom was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was great too. Bev and her team really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and the attention to detail made the lodge one of the best we have stayed in. The lodge is also located in such a great central area, close to the wine farms, a shopping center if you need to grab a few things and pretty central to Hout Bay, Camps Bay etc. There was also secure parking for our car too. We loved staying there and will be back again when we come to Cape Town.
