Sundays breakfast was too little, we had to ask for more food because we got there and there no fries.

The hotel staff are friendly people. Saturday breakfast was superb.

Nice clean facilities, jacuzzi and sauna were in working order. Very spacious with nice reading areas on the different landings. Easy access to quite a few restaurants for evening dining.

There was nothing I didn't like.

I liked the rustic feel of the place. I also received prompt service when I phoned the front desk.

The hotel has repair works at the moment. Ragged carpets with a lot of holes. Unsafe wiring with water going down from the ceiling. Awful staff at the reception. Manager Sylvia was extremely rude, inappropriate behavior to the guests. Unfriendly manner from the beginning. She gave our group (teachers and students group) rooms with poor conditions (in some rooms we had no water in the bathrooms- no way to have a shower, guys!) we demanded to change the rooms. She said: “We don’t have free rooms”. We wondered how could it be if they had free rooms at booking.com. We were ready to pay extra for the upgrade. She said “you can try to book at booking.com but we’ll give you the rooms from 3-star hotel which is opposite to the main building” . By the way these rooms were even worse and cost less. So she said that even if you booked the renovated rooms from at 4 star building they would give you cheap rooms from 3star hotel. So they sell rooms but don’t give them to the guests. It’s called fraud!! One last thing. Sylvia said:” Oh! I can change one room which is at the other block”. We said we wanted to see the room. After our running about we descended and agreed to take this room. Then we were killed by her mischievous attempt to humble us again. “Oh, I’ve just sold this room to other guests who were standing behind you”. Just a cherry on top! Guys, don’t waste your time and money. Absolute illegality, bad staff at the reception. Dear managers, pls do something with your HR policy!!

Well did not know that the hotel was divided into a 3 and 4 star hotel. Was told to go to the 3 star on the other side of the road, though the price paid was the same as the nice guest house we booked. The carpets were dirty, the outer area nd pool was dirty

The staff was ok and the location was in the centre as we looked for. The breakfast was great

It's a grotty place, pool filthy too It feels uncomfortable to be in. Having to cross main road for breakfast is unacceptable

Nothing ....Give it a miss, two hotels, separated by main road, getting into Graywood v difficult, gates locked. Hotel shabby , room small, tired, bed uncomfortable, bathroom archaic, very noisy.whole place needs huge renovation. Feel I should be paid for staying there rather than other way

Where do I start. The filthy carpet, the outdated decor, the filthy couch in the bedroom or the dust I. The pelmets. Not to mention the rats. The most unpleasant stay I've ever experienced. But ultimately what was disturbing and wanted me to cancel was the fact that the website doesn't show the other section of the hotel on their website profile so you have the impression that all the rooms are at least similar in standards. really NOT wat I expected. If it wasn't that we were travelling so late and would have lost my entire payment I would most certainly have cancelled my stay.

The staff was accommodating, apologetic, location was central

The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel was that the shower was over a bath which was rather difficult to climb into and out of. We are both in our mid sixties and would prefer a seperate showers cubicle.

The hotel was lovely, and the rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast was provided and the food and service was excellent.

Pool was dirty to what i assume was an iverhead tree that messed in the pool. Either that or it was never cleaned. Jacuzzi not working entire duration. No mini bar fridges in the rooms, and then we were charged extra if we request for ice to keep drinking water cold. Hotel does not allow small children to sleep on the two single sleeper couches in the room. We were forced to book another room for the kids to sleep in (which also had two single sleeper couches). Front desk says they have very few rooms which they allow families to stay - even though all rooms accommodate children as well. Overall not family friendly.

Decent location. Clean rooms. Decent breakfast. Tissues provided in rooms. Understanding staff.

Great hotel very nearby the Knysna waterfront, only a short walk down the road. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast had great variety and was tasty. The pool and bar area was also great to have as an option if you didn’t want to leave the hotel. Highly recommend.

It would have been ideal to have our daughters stay in a room either next to or in the same corridor as ours, as they are under age. My wife and I occupied room 206 and the children room 134.

The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was of very high standard, our family really enjoyed it, the staff was very friendly and customer focused.
