Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaAlthough clean the cottages are rather tired. The water pressure was very bad in the shower, impossible to wash my hair and the bath was full of chips and scratches which made me not want to use it. In fact with the flow of water I doubt you would be able to fill it and it still be hot.
Very clean and beautiful vista over the bush. Very good attention to details. The staff were the best thing they were amazing all of them. Our sightings weren’t great but was so lovely to be there. Fantastic food, the chef was incredibly accommodating as I am vegan,he even made me vegan rusks for the morning game drive. Amazing

PortugalSome of the roads in the Reserve are appalling. They've had a lot of rain and that doesn't help.
The staff are outstanding and nothing is too much trouble. Our game ranger, Wanda, was very informative and obliging.

United KingdomThe lodge is looking a bit tired but we hear that a renovation is about to happen which is excellent news!
Nambiti is a great lodge - we are a slightly older couple and it was lovely and quiet which was just what we needed. Our game drives were excellent with Lebo who is a fun and accomplished guide. The food is great and service is excellentThe rooms are beautiful and each evening we enjoyed the treats and turn down service.

South AfricaWhile this is a 5-star lodge its age is starting to show in the rooms and in my opinion, they do need upgrading to keep with the times, they are apparently planning an upgrade during the 2nd quarter of the year so it will be great to visit them after this.
The meals are exceptional and because the lodge is situated on the hill the view during mealtimes from the eating area over the valley is beautiful, we had a great time at the pool, and we even had visits from antilope grazing with their calves in close proximity to us. Antilope also roamed the grounds of the lodge so there were good opportunities to view them up close even from our rooms. The safari drives were also great fun with a lot of animals to be seen, and the guides really are knowledgeable expect to see Lions and elephant and a lot of antelope, this was the highlight of the trip.

South AfricaI have nothing negative to say as my stay was completely impressive!
All the staff were competent in the tourism and hospitality industry. As a guest to many 5 star establishments, I was completely impressed by the excellent service standards. I will definitely recommend this facility as they went over and above to make our stay there nothing less than superb 👌. The game drive was out of this world. Joe who was our guide, ensured we got to see all big 5 and more. The chef personally came to talk to us about meal choices I was not sure about. The manager and bartenders always came to talk to us and kept us entertained with conversation and history about all things safari. All I can say is wow- you have outdone yourself! Keep up the good work!

South AfricaMenu is geared for those staying 2-3 nights so if you stay longer you may exhaust the options.
Travelled with my two sisters and had an incredible 4 nights stay at Nambiti. The staff really make this place. Warm, friendly and so helpful. Special mention to our guide Joe, Siphamandla and Brian. Nambiti Hills offers a non commercial safari experience. The reserve is authentic and every effort is made to respect the wildlife and interact ‘naturally’ with the animals. We particularly loved the stories of the history of the reserve and community integration in the story. Food is out of this world and plenty of it so no need for lunch at all. Drinks are not included in the package but highly recommend spending a little extra because the cocktails are wow! We aren’t new to safaris but this was right up there on our list of favourites!

South AfricaA lovely game viewing experience with up-close sightings and a game guide who was knowledgeable about the area and the animals. Luxurious rooms and a comfortable lodge. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and relaxing on the deck during the heat of the day. The on-site spa is also lovely for a bit of pampering. The service and food were great.
