Gerda is an amazing host. She really does make sure that you are comfortable, cared for and happy. Her attention to detail is remarkable. We found her to be caring without intruding on our privacy. I am not sure that any other host is capable of the talent she showed. Blue Crane Villa is luxury at its best with the service to match. The views, the luxury, the fantastic breakfasts , the kindness and care from Gerda made our stay absolutely memorable..Thank you Gerda..

An African palace in an exquisite lakeside location with mountainous backdrop. Girda is a very kind and generous host, she really couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was an absolute feast. The estate is very safe and quiet.

OMG, what was there not to love!!! From the owner, Gerda's communication from even before we arrived to the moment we left everything was perfection, everything I'd hoped for and more. Gerda and Olga are such warm, welcoming hosts guys, they pay attention to so much detail. As it was my birthday weekend, when I got back to dinner I was welcomed with champagne and chocolate in our room, the bathroom strewn with rose petals and candles. She even repeated it on day 2 of our stay. She organized a spa date for my partner and I to take place in the comfort of our room. THE VIEWS from the balcony!!! 😍I woke up on Sunday morning hoping to catch the sunrise but my balcony was facing the wrong direction. Then I noticed how the morning sun's rays hit the water on the lake👌🏾 Breakfast was amazing!!! So much food prepared with so much love (with family recipes that Gerda refused to share 😂) On our last day, she prepared our breakfast on the patio and we had the most perfect views of the lake while enjoying the breakfast. On departure, I received such a thoughtful gift and a delicious slice of cake with a birthday candle on it. Thank you Gerda and Olga, our stay could not have been more perfect. You went above and beyond any expectations. May you never lose that warmth that makes me want to go back and stay an entire week😊HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

There is nothing I didn't like. Everything was just perfect. The pictures on the website is exactly that, what you see is what you get and more.

The breakfast was amazing. Gerda and Olga went out of their way to make sure breakfast was delicious, sufficient and filling. The location of the place was perfect. The views and the atmosphere was just wonderful. I would defiantly recommend everyone to go and stay at The Blue Crane Villa and I am defiantly planning to go back again.

The view of Harties dam was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the lekker smell of breakfast (bacon, eggs, 2 types of sausage, hashbrowns, samosas, toast/ croissants), relaxing next to the pool, watching the sunset over the dam, and enjoying a full-body massage in our room was exactly what we needed. Gerda and Olga were so friendly and really made us feel like long-time friends. We cannot wait to go back!
